I really want #deathvialove to be more then just a musical project i want it to be a vessel I want it to be a somthing Somone looks back on and goes "wow what was she thinking?" I want people to hear me and understand me I want them to forget to breathe and skip a heart beat and when they've ran out of air and time stops they come back to reality a little less empty i want them to be able to think for them selves and ask questions I want to feed their curiosity make them imagine i want to see how far does the mind go how deep can it grow I want people to question everything anyone has ever told them and think do I believe this cause I really believe it or do I believe this cause the people Ive been doomed to associate with believe this and if I defy them I defy "god" if I defy them I'm considered ill or mentally unstable I want people to know its ok to be afraid and to cry to love and to leave or be left and to grow its okay to make mistakes and break rules it's okay to test boundaries just don't find yourself testing boundaries for anybody else but your self i want to inspire and be inspired by those who surround me I want to love uncontrollably till my heart explodes and my voice is lost some where between the things I'm afraid to say and the things I've said that i didn't mean. I want people to hear my story and know that magic is real and to never loose sight of what really matters not money not time but love unconditional unselfish no egos no secrets honest genuine compassionate plutonic love That's what matters and to know that even when it feels like someone has ripped that love from your stomach and your heart feels like it's been attached to a million bricks and cast into the ocean life goes on and the only thing left to do is forgive and continue loving and it sucks and it hurts and you'll cry but at least your not alone cause I feel you.

Lately, I’ve been lost in the hyperspaces of focus, of green will and determination and through the firmness of preparation, eyes have become weathered and grey while wearing the velvet crushing cloaks of diligence and riding an ostensibly fine blade of insanity. 

Yesterday, I rode in my car and the shell of music filled the cabin with silk woven notes, seductively strung melodies and ladened choruses that somehow became strangers under divided attention. And I wept. 

In what seemed like an eternally inept pause, I searched for my partner in the avenues of silence, that haunting sound that has been riding shotgun with me every single day. 

How long has this been going on? 

Have I been in a daze, dreaming of days of rest and peace and bliss and warm kisses under strawberry moons and Life altering eclipses? Or have I unconsciously sprinkled earth over my fire all this time?

I beg to differ now. To difference the reverence of silence. That violent, quiet riot of nothingness. The now need of the instrumental and the instruspiritual, woven into one. The harmonies fused into the acoustics of four chambers and its gorgeous atrium. Filling the open mouths of stadiums with a dictatorial, imbued with the most unrelenting and tenacious piece. 

*sighhh*

You know, it’s been a while since I’ve been kissed. I remember vividly the taste of pressed warmth against my lips. The softness of meat in heaven between breaths.

The heat of next… The reverb of his voice in my mouth or her sigh in the lap of my tongue. 

That yearning for that penetrative gaze to fill the needs between my thighs. The aching of devour in between seconds of whole entire hours. And then… the infidelity of time. And like a kiss…

The dharma of each genre is to infuse the nectar of a note and to cause the spirit to float upon the rivered beds of a song. 

MUSZIK is the spirit that chooses its Medium. 

So we cast spells in swells of emotion with prose and lyric. Allowing the metaphysics to conjure the blessing of its purest form… 

Goddess is so gracious, isn’t she?

This is exclusive exquisitivity and there is so much unrelenting gratitude to be had and with that, may the Universe continue to lay us so Lovingly on the frequency of each and every precious, precious track.

When we heard this joint that Jean laced for our tape, we were simply blown away by the 2min opus she provided. Phoelix's instrumental is a perfect canvas for Jean's unique mix of bars, melody, and a kind of ability to rock out. You want to talk about MOOD music? "Stranger Things" is that track and then some. While you can hear the subtle references to the netflix show, "who knows where he had could have been", the imagery Jean provides certainly stands on its own as a compelling piece of art.

Smokebreaks 2 || The Re-Fix

The Re-fix is our 2nd installment of the SmokeBreak series. The music on the Re-fix is centered around perspective. In visual art perspective distortion is a warping or transformation of an object and its surrounding area that differs significantly from what the object appears to be normally. In the case of music production a sample beat in itself can be viewed as a distorted version of an original record. This tape is full of re interpitations of orginal records and sounds that we feel are progressiing music production in the urban contemporary genre. The concept is seeing through others eyes to create art. For us the project has posed a question... How much as artists can we distort and explore?? and what does this exploration sound like??
