The B12 story started back in the early nineties when @mikegolding and Steve Rutter helped define the UK's intelligent techno and early electronica scene. Releasing on their own self-titled label as well as Warp, they turned out cult classics like Electro-Soma. From 1996, they took the best part of a decade off before returning in 2008. To this day, the music remains firmly in the future, with sci-fi designs and languid rhythms unfolding in cinematic fashion.

And that plays out in this week's brilliantly atmospheric podcast. It's a sensitive journey through an expansive world of glistening electronics and synth-laden sounds. Rhythms nod to IDM, braindance, techno and bass. As the tempos vary, tender and thoughtful passages sit happily next to more muscular and physical workouts. Few artists get such beauty out of their machines as B12.

Hailing from the golden south coast sands of Bournemouth bay, Mr G is the co-founder of emerging underground house label Forbidden Fruit. 

His journey into music addiction began in the mid 90s through the collection and trade of Old skool Rave, Drum and Bass & Techno tape packs at  the back of the school bus!  Since those days of innocent curiosity, Mr G has continued to fuel his habit through through well over a decade's collection of genre bending beats, harnessing any opportunity to unleash them upon willing dancefloors accross the globe. 

Having honed his trade with vinyl, he now runs a largely digital setup, spinning all things house & techno, championing the underground energetic grooves inspired through a life spent discovering the best dancefloors our world has to offer.

A born performer with an infectious energy, Mr G is most at home stirring up a storm on either side of the DJ booth, a true chameleon of the dance music scene.
