For the 49th edition of Rusted Rhythms, we’ve tapped into a recurrent friend and favorite, Universe of Sounds. Flexing a host of IDM influences and inspirations, he’s strung together a scintillating dive into the far-out territories of rhythm and synthesis. Featuring the works of underground veterans such as Mosaik, Bochum Welt, and Boards of Canada, as well as few choice original productions, this mix nails its mark through and through, blending tracks  with clever mixing fundamentals and just the right touch of finesse. For ardent fans of the strange, amorphous landscape of IDM, Rusted Rhythms Vol. 49 will surely satisfy.

Rythmatix Winter Mix

This is a re-recording of my set from the Cedar Lounge at Shambhala Music Festival 2022, where I closed the stage from 3-4:30am the final night of the party. Shambhala was the first music festival and electronic music event I ever attended in 2001 and getting to play my own set for the first time this year meant a lot to me. In this set I explore multiple genres ranging from 120-140 bpm on a dark grimy tip, I hope you enjoy! Thank you to the Grove Stage for having me and to everyone who checked out my set <3

Shambhala 2022 Cedar Lounge Set

LiT MiX 034 from Vancouver’s Apollo is a spring sunshower of bassy goodness, from clouds of lush halftime through a downpour of ukg and booty breaks into a clearing breeze of dnb. 

A master of vibe consistency and progression through tempo and genre switches, Apollo is a versatile producer and DJ whose name our listeners will recall from his wavy remix of Blondtron’s WMFBA on Butt Hertz 001. 

With releases upcoming on labels Club Designs and Berlin House Music, be sure to catch Apollo in full bloom at Vancouver’s Village Studios on April 14th opening for CRi, and hear all this musical magic he’s cross-pollinating.

This year's Shambhala Music Festival marks the 10th year Fort Knox Five has played and the first time we have released a set from one of our favorite places on the planet. It was a bittersweet milestone as the set is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend and musical partner Jon Horvath aka DJ Jon H of FK5. We've never felt such an amazing energy in the Fractal and we want to thank the thousands of friends, fans and party-goers that showed up in full force wearing afros, dancing and pumping good vibes for our brother. It was an amazing thing to feel the Shambhalove and we can't thank you enough for such an inspiring experience! This mix introduces Fort Knox Five ft. The Funk Hunters Proudly Present: A Shambhala Mixtape

This summer we were blessed with the opportunity to premiere our brand new 4-turntable Audio Visual show at Canada's legendary Shambhala Music Festival! 100% of our set was accompanied with live synchronized handcrafted visuals content and nearly all of the remixes, samples, and acapellas you hear within this mix were first turned into video files and then played live during our set on Friday night in The Fractal Forest.

Now home from summer festivals and about to embark on our Fall North American Tour, we've gone back into the studio to recreate the magic found in the forest that night in the form of this downloadable mixtape, so please DOWNLOAD and SHARE away!
