FEVER LISA FINN POWELL

for Dagmar Ramsden, my first wife and mother of my amazing children. This was written in a few hours with a guitar. Before I drowned myself in the internet. 
Dave Cliff guitar. Andy Hamill bass, Gary...Stretch? unbelievably cool geezer who worked with the Beautiful South among many others - congas (Don't have the original 33 records CD any more with personnel listing) The Guardian gave this four stars. After which it was downhill all the way.  TRIBUTE TO PAUL DESMOND the concept was playing melodically, with guitar, as Paul Desmond was contractually obliged to do when not playing in the Dave Brubeck quartet and performing some Desmond originals, standards he liked and. opf course, Take 5. 
 Dave Cliff, a charmless misery, spent months trying to diss me whenever possible, despite me hiring him on numerous occasions, Christ knows why.  'Don't you know THAT one', he'd say, if you didn't know every single standard from the thirties. I only know about two hundred of them. Sorry. When it came to playing Take 5 he had to ask for the music because he didn't know not particularly complicated middle 8 to the most famous jazz composition of all time. Stupid old CUNT.
