This is a V2 of my original version made in June, now with new music and writing!

This is my concept for the final boss of demo 5. Aureus is a gameshow host who only cares about the fame and glory, never about other people. He decided to steal the Windforce as a publicity stunt so his gameshow could gain more traction. Aureus is careless, egocentric, rude, and just a genuine bad person in general.

Pretty much every final boss in Block Tales can be justified/redeemed (except hatred but I'm going to say that's a different case) and I thought it would be neat if there was a truly evil final boss that can't be redeemed.

(You enter the final room at the top of the cathedral. As you look ahead, you see Kleos at his desk.
He looks impatient and tired as he taps his fingers on his desk.)
Kleos:
     "Ah."
     "It took you long enough..."
     "I fear you were almost too late."
     "The man I saw... was it even real...?"
(Kleos gets up and walks to the Windforce which is in it's pedestal.)
Kleos:
     "You were sent to retrieve the WINDFORCE for... safety reasons, hm?"
     "Take it."
     "If it's for the safety of these kingdoms, it's all yours."
     "I've guarded this sword for so many years."
     "It's about time I get a break."
     "...And these kingdoms need a break as well."
(When Kleos goes to grab the Windforce, a cage falls on him and lifts him into the air)
Kleos:
     "What the hell?!"
(Aureus jumps down from the ceiling and cameras appear, broadcasting everything.)
Aureus:
     "Yes... YES!"
     "IT'S FINALLY MINE!"
(Aureus tries pulling the Windforce out of it's pedestal, but due to his carelessness, the pedestal crumbles.)
Kleos:
     "WHAT?!"
     "You... You're a MONSTER!"
     "Get me out of this cage, NOW!"
(Aureus uses the Windforce on Kleos, inflicting him with dizzy and making him unable to fight back.)
Kleos:
     "Urgh..."
     "You will... pay..."
Aureus:
     "Silence, guardian."
     "Buddy, you can't even BEGIN to comprehend how much I've NEEDED this sword!"
(Aureus turns to the camera.)
Aureus:
     "YOU SEE THAT, TV?!"
     "ALL THE FAME... ALL THE GLORY..."
     "IT'S ALL MINE!"
     "OH WINDFORCE ALMIGHTY PLEASE HOLD MY HAND."
     "FOR I SEE NOTHING BUT PROFIT."
     "I WILL TURN THESE TREACHEROUS LANDS INTO LANDS OF INDUSTRY!"
     "..."
     "Now look, buddy."
     "Kleos couldn't stop me, and you won't either."
     "It's best you just give up right now."
     "Prepare to meet your demise."
