Into The Light

Infected Mushroom is an Israeli musical duo formed in Haifa in 1996 by producers Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani. They produce and perform psytrance, electronica, dream trance and psychedelic music. They are one of the best-selling groups in Israeli music history in terms of both domestic and international sales. They employ a variety of musical sources, including acoustic guitars and complex synthesized basses. Their compositions often contain changes of drum beat and tempo. GRAMMY-nominated producers Andrew Bayer and Gabriel & Dresden join forces with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and vocalist Sub Teal on ‘Other Eye’, out now on Anjunabeats.

Andrew Bayer, Gabriel & Dresden & Sub Teal have been integral parts of the trance scene for over a decade. They make their collaborative debut on ‘Other Eye’, a track played extensively by Above & Beyond in recent performances at Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest and more.

Andrew Bayer has been responsible for the most experimental and ambitious artist albums on Anjunabeats. His 2011 debut ‘It’s Artificial’ merged glitch-hop, electronica and prog house, while on 2013’s ‘If It Were You, We’d Never Leave’ he pushed the envelope further with a critically-acclaimed journey of electronica and sunny, instrumental hip-hop. 2018's ‘In My Last Life’ wove the emotive songwriting of Ane Brun and Alison May into a modern alt-pop masterpiece. His fourth studio album, ‘Duality’, is one of his most ambitious works to date; climbing to #1 on the US / Canada iTunes Dance chart and attracting support from Sirius XM's Diplo and Liquid Todd, BBC Radio 1's Annie Nightingale and KCRW's Jason Bentley.

This year, Andrew followed up the success of ‘Duality’ with a far-reaching North American tour and made an appearance at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge. He also joined Seven Lions on his ‘Journey III’ tour with stops at The Greek Theatre, MGM Hall, Avant Gardner (Brooklyn Mirage), Downtown Las Vegas Event Center, Santa Barbara Bowl and beyond.

Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden, aka Gabriel & Dresden, have built an enduring legacy across their 20+ year career. Known for their unique brand of ‘emotional dance music,’ the DJ and producer duo helped define the sound of modern trance music with hits like ‘As The Rush Comes’, ‘Beautiful Things’ and ’Tracking Treasure Down.’ The pair also created three essential mixes on BBC Radio 1, won Best American DJ, Best Producers and Best Remixers at the IDMA Awards, scored 21 #1’s on the Billboard Dance Chart, peaked at #20 on DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s poll and have performed in over 40 countries.

Gabriel & Dresden made their ‘The Only Road’ and ‘Remedy’ albums off the back of Kickstarter campaigns released on Anjunabeats in 2017 and 2020 respectively. Title track ‘Only Road’,’ co-written and performed by Sub Teal, went on to be remixed by Cosmic Gate and was subsequently nominated for a GRAMMY in 2018. They stayed active during the pandemic with their Club Quarantine lockdown Twitch streams, growing a community of over 50k, and followed it up in real life with their ‘Gabriel & Dresden + Friends’ tour. The pair return to Anjunabeats after their last single on the label, ‘Bias’, which earned support from Cosmic Gate, Darude, Genix, Farius and more.

Sub Teal has been a longtime collaborator with Gabriel & Dresden as a songwriter and vocalist on ‘The Only Road’ and ‘Remedy’ albums. As a DJ, she joined Gabriel & Dresden on all dates of the ‘Gabriel & Dresden + Friends’ tour, as well as performing weekly on the Club Quarantine live stream. ‘Other Eye’ marks the first of many upcoming collaborations for this gifted singer/songwriter.

Beginning summer with the emotional journey of the Sunrise Set, the midpoint is traditionally highlighted by our annual Coldharbour Day celebrations. It's a small way for our Coldharbour family to say thanks to everyone who supports the label, and those responsible for creating the tracks we cherish. 

This tradition is another passion project for me, with a four hour journey made especially for the occasion. It's a continual weave of current favorites, a few nods to the future, and opening up the Coldharbour archives; with the thrill of reliving, and sometimes even rediscovering beautiful melodies we may have forgotten.

I spent the first week of January alone in a small cabin in the countryside, and this was the first idea that materialized. I think the song reflects the mood of being isolated in the midst of the dark Danish winter quite well.
Scary at times but also a bit like a cocoon for creativity. It's almost as if time stands still.
The wonderful Stine Grøn later came by my studio and recorded her beautiful wordless vocals.
Later, while touring with Kalaha, we recorded Anders Stig Møller's epic freetless bass in the lobby of Danhostel Ebeltoft and last Selma Trier added her ethereal harp playing.
The song is included on my upcoming album “Going Inside” - an album created especially for inner journeys and psychedelic therapy.
It is the third and final album in my piano trilogy – starting with “After The Flood” & “Isola” and will be out September 29th.

KIWA’s Dystopic Sci-fi is a collection of moods from a bygone era, before the digital revolution became a central part of our everyday lives. The album takes its musical influence from the last decades of the 20th century - ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s - which is also the reason it was produced, mixed and mastered using analog equipment.  KIWA has been a veteran on sound design and electronic music over the past 2 decades and has released with more than 20 labels worldwide over his career. A massive 15 track album, this release truly blends all styles and ideas of electronic music, while still staying cohesive under the retro nostalgia they all envelop.  Across The Globe (feat. Jackson Whalan) kickstarts the album off to a rowdy star with glitch hop goodness and rap, acid bass and funky breakbeats throughout with a high energy banger.  G’s n Things keeps the glitchy funk and leans more into the breakbeats and the retro influences, truly sounding like a soundtrack to a heist movie.  Metaphor (feat. Suspira and Bea Aino) continues the breakbeats but adds beautiful catchy female vocals, this one will get stuck in your head and is another perfect movie soundtrack and teleports us back in time.  Sjuka Dagar Revisited (feat. Arosa Ensemble) picks up the BPM and is a funky drum & bass track with live horns and synths filling the soundscape, beautiful vocals from Arosa and a fast pace hard to not move to.  Just A Hack has repetitive AI vocals and is a fun stab at META and social media, truly reminding us of Knife Party’s Internet Friends in the best way possible.  Carbon brings in a four on the floor house beat and funky bass and old school synths that instantly teleport us into a Tron world.  Point Blank  is another high energy drum & bass track full of cinematic builds and high energy that is ready to get the dancefloor moving.  Pixels To Eternity (feat. Manos Libres) slows down the tempo for a laidback groove with Manos on the vocals with wet bass and a slow breakbeat groove to nod along to.  Back To The Future is the funkiest track on the album and is full of classic retro synths and catchy vocoder lyrics from the classic track “Time” from Pink Floyd, truly bringing us back to the future.  Paradox has an epic build and brings in a four on the floor g-house drop with huge stabbing basses and truly brings us back to the early rave days.  Mirage brings back the breakbeat into a heavy banger that is impossible not to move to.  Fade To Night opens with an epic arpeggiated synth into a perfect breakbeat flow and beautiful pads and keys, truly a track you need for a night-time drive. Chunky Bit Of Luck starts as a beautiful synth driven slow breaks track and quickly turns into a glitchy heavy anthem filled with horns and bass.  No Games is another more synth driven track that pulls back from the heavier styles and back to the funky roots of some of the first tracks on the release.  Made Up My Mind (feat. Manos Libres and Tim Duster) closes the album with beautiful piano and a laid back breakbeat groove full of live guitar and brass instruments, a perfect closing to the journey through KIWA’s sound.
