Paula Lima has been in the Brazilian soul and funk scene since her early teenage years and has sung with Jorge Ben, Funk Como Le Gusta and Mondo Grosso amongst others.

Irish-born, London producer Tree Threes aka Jamie Meehan cut his teeth at the legendary Secretsundaze parties.  Here, he marks the release of his latest 12” for the Soul Quest label – after dropping tunes on Nervous, Morris Audio, Kolour and Special Grooves – with a mix that spans the classic house depths of Moodymann to the broken beatsmithery of Bugz In The Attic.

This show was originally recorded in 2003.

While going through my archives, I discovered around 80 hours of radio shows I produced in 2003 and 2004. Listening to them again was an incredible experience — the music still feels surprisingly relevant today.

I’ve always believed that music is like fashion: genres, songs, and styles constantly evolve, disappear, and return in new forms. Inspired by this, I’ve decided to share those 80 hours of music from 2003–2005 on SoundCloud, releasing them weekly as a new series titled “Music Is Like Fashion.”
