This latest mix comes from Sangsih, one of the resident DJ's of our monthly residency (pre-covid), Open Soul. Sangsih, is based out of Oakland, Ca and has been a long time friend of Late Feelings. 

Here are a few words about this mix from Sangsih:
"With this mix, I wanted to expand beyond the confines of the boogie and disco records that have held my rapt attention for the past few years to include more international sounds from the 80’s and 90’s and try to keep it a little more balearic in the spirit of Late Feelings. Drawing on records of tripped out disco, cosmic percussion, South African Kwaito, and more, I set out to take the listener on a journey that can soundtrack your evenings and late night drives. Something you can play at home or might hear early in a night I was playing out and that I hope captures some of the unique energy that the evening brings out. Hope you enjoy!"

This was the mix I used for the "Hands On" tour.  If you cats haven't seen the "Rock The Bells" Documentary you should really peep it.  Myself Chali 2na and J-Live performed on this tour and the cdj's / turntables given to me were all jacked up.  One of the cd players ate Chali's entire instrumental album but we laughed about it.....way later.

A Couple Of Slices Red Apples 45's Couple Of Slices pairs the production of Ray West and the lyrics of the legendary Kool Keith. The original cover illustration by Greg Mac depicts a futuristic pizzeria set in outer space, a perfect setting for the wizard Kool Keith to serve up slices to hungry space travelers. Keith's wizardry intertwines with Ray West's melodies to create a mood of sarcastic romance at the same time setting rappers straight. Proudly recorded in the Bronx, all the writing and concepts were done together in the studio. Mixed with great detail by Phil Moffa at Butcha Sound NYC with features from AG of DITC, Cormega, 3rd Eye & Dyin Breed.
