3LAU HAUS #21 (Festival Warmup)

Carlos Sanchez, the young producer/DJ with a string of quality releases over the past few years, drops a four-track EP this March on Poker Flat Recordings.

'Countdown' weaves together the various elements for which Sanchez is fast gaining a strong reputation: deep, groovy tech house that will be driving people to the floor all year long.

The EP kicks off with 'Yesterland' - tight, punchy drums are underpinned by another trademark growling bass-line and a Hemingwayesque vocal narrative. 

'Conclution' - a firing second track built around swingy bass and crisp, driving percussion. Some wonky synths add the kind of late night, off-kilter atmosphere that Sanchez excels at bringing into his tracks (or sets, whatever you like).

'Surrender' journeys further into the deep, with a bouncy, modulating bass-line and a breathless vocal urging us to give in to the vibe. 

'Nu Place' complements perfectly the vitality of the EP - another tightly coiled production that effortlessly toys with tension and release in a way that many older producers would envy.
