Her sound is driven and hypnotic, balancing sharp emotional depth with an instinctive sense of rhythm. It’s an inner journey, unfolding between the personal and the universal, between vulnerability and power.

Here we go: 

🧿 What track, set or sound triggers strong memories for you, and what does it remind you of?
My own track “Loss” carries some of the strongest memories for me. It was born from a deeply personal place grief, vulnerability, and ultimately, acceptance.
Every time I play it, it takes me back to that emotional space, but also reminds me of the healing that can come from expressing the unspoken.
It’s always powerful to share it with others and feel how it resonates differently each time.

🧿 How do you decide which songs to play during a performance?
It’s honestly a mix of intuition and connection. I always read the room first feeling out the energy, the vibe, and the collective mood. 
I’ll usually start with a track that grounds me, then build a story from there.
I don’t plan every moment, but I always carry a few emotional anchors in my set that I know I can return to if the energy needs shifting.

🧿 What’s a personal goal you’re working toward in 2025?
In 2025, I’m focusing on creating more original music.
I’ve spent years curating and shaping soundscapes through my sets, and now I feel called to put more of me into the music itself.
It’s vulnerable but exciting like writing a letter to the world, one beat at a time.

🧿 What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Don’t wait to feel ready ,move with the fear.” That one stayed with me. It’s pushed me to take risks, step on bigger stages, and even say yes to things like this! Growth rarely feels comfortable, but it’s always worth it.

🧿 What’s the bravest decision you’ve ever made, and why?
The bravest decision I’ve made was choosing to fully pursue music, even when it didn’t make sense on paper.
Walking away from a more “stable” path was terrifying, but I knew deep down that this was my truth. 
It’s been a journey of trust, sacrifice, and resilience but it’s also brought me the most joy and meaning.

DJ WolleXDP exploring new paths?

“ #DeepTechno ”? “ #HypnoticTech ”? “ #DarkTrance ”? – whatever it is. I honestly have no idea whether this already qualifies as its own genre (maybe some of you do?), and as many of you know, I’ve never cared much for those kinds of labels anyway.

Here’s the backstory: a few weeks ago, I went to #Sisyphos with my girlfriend to finally experience my dear DJ dude #OliverHuntemann live again – someone I deeply admire. For me, Oliver is one of the most consistently reliable DJs when it comes to delivering exactly the kind of journey I love creating myself behind the decks: a beautiful trip where I can dissolve entirely into (collective) trance.

He didn’t disappoint.
But what struck me most was how he made me experience the #Hammerhalle in a completely new way.
I was genuinely blown away.
The last time I heard him play was at “#BuchtderTräumer” in the summer. I never would have imagined that he could bring that very special vibe of his into the Hammerhalle.
Wow – so that kind of thing really can happen here too?

Now, if you think I simply tried to imitate Oliver – then you don’t know me.
And more importantly, anyone who truly knows us both would understand that we have very different views on what music is – or can be.
Naturally, my track selection and my set dramaturgy are completely different from his.

But maybe what connects us isn’t something you hear – maybe it’s something you feel, from the dancefloor perspective?
For me, it’s always about energy. About depth. About emotion. And sometimes, it’s about that very specific calmness that certain tracks need to really shine.

But enough introduction.

Of course, this mix is still 100% #WolleXDP.
And yet – it’s different.
So different, in fact, that for me it marks something like a milestone.
I’ve been working on this kind of sound in my head for quite some time now.
And on Tuesday morning at Sisyphos, I finally got the chance to try it out – and to play all those tracks I’ve been collecting for years just for myself. Tracks I love – but never had the right context to actually play in public.

Special shout-out to the #lightingoperator – I’m almost certain they really felt the music.
The lighting matched the vibe perfectly and played a big part in what happened that morning.
What a joy!
