I replicated note by note, all instrument parts completely from Junko Ohashi's song I Love You So.
The idea was to get new ideas on groovy beats, fills, basslines, transitions etc.
Now it's time to go back to writing new original material :) This was for study and for fun.

‘Think Straight’ came to us in an attempt to break all gender stereotypes. When two human beings are embracing and acknowledging each other, there’s no right or wrong.
Therefore for MEERA, giving this title to the song is somewhat ironic, since being unique and faithful to your true self is way more meaningful than to restrain yourself to old-fashioned norms. 
Our goal with this song is to give confidence and a voice to those who doubt themselves and feel repressed by gender norms and toxic masculinity.

For my next track, I decided not to rather use samples from Asia, but use samples from Aja. (See what I did there? No? Alright, I'll see myself out.)

I also made three other versions of this track since I couldn’t decide on adding more cymbals or premade drum loops or both, but I think this version is fine for now.

Track sampled is "Peg" by Steely Dan from the 1977 album Aja. Cover art is edited off of an image I found through Googling "anime polaroid." I doubt I was the original illustrator, however.

I made this track in a day! Within about 5-6 hours, in fact— it was a challenge to stream the entire process of making a eurobeat song from first notes to album art and YouTube Thumbnail, with the hopes that watching me strain through all that might prompt a few folks to chip in for rent money. It was a smashing success!

At least, I think so.
