When someone asks me what I love most about label work, my answer is always the same:
To recognise the potential of an artist and help them in every way to fulfil their dream. Because there is nothing better than looking into the eyes of someone you have accompanied on their way and giving them the opportunity to present their music live for the first time at an event.
Because what one must not forget is that it can take 5-10 years until an artist is really ready to meet the qualitative demands of today's market. 
When I got the first demo from Fabien (Serenity Flux) more than 5 years ago, I was immediately fascinated by his work. So it has been a great pleasure for me that he decided to join the Y.S.E family and that I have supported him in every way possible. 
 In this past time we have walked a hard and rocky road together but he has never lost sight of his goal.
The result of his work can now be heard here in a 2.5 hour live set and I hope it takes you away as it took me away.
But I am even more happy that Benjamin from the New Healing Festival has fulfilled my wish that we can perform together in one slot - Serenity Flux ( Live) - DJ Bim - Drukverdeler & DJ Bim ( Live)- 
at one of the most beautiful parties in Germany.
Because I get the chance again to look into the eyes of a person who is playing live for the first time at a festival in Germany, which has always been his dream.

Bevor wir uns nun in den X-Mas Wahnsinn begeben und 
und uns den Herausforderungen des Jahres 2024 stellen,
möchte ich euch noch einmal mit in das Jahr 2015 nehmen.

Für mich, ist dieses Jahrzehnt das Beste der progressiven psychedelic Trance gewesen.
Die Produktionen haben nicht den qualitativen Standard der heutigen Musik gehabt, aber es ist Musik in unserer Musik gewesen.

Ich bin schon immer ein Trance DJ gewesen und ich liebe das Spiel mit Musik ,Töne und Klängen.
Musik , die das Herz, die Seele und den Geist eines Menschen berühren und positive Emotionen frei setzt.
Heute frage ich mich immer mehr, wo sind diese Tranceballaden geblieben, die bei Sonnenaufgang,
unser Herz berührt haben und du nicht wusstest, ob du vor Freude lachen oder weinen sollst?

Vor 30 Jahren wurde immer gesagt, die Party wird mit Gefühl eröffnet, die Nacht muss
Hart und schell sein, damit du das negative aus dir heraus Tanzen kannst und du dich für das Schöne in der Musik am Morgen öffnen kannst.
Es soll dir Freude und Kraft für das kommende in deinem Leben geben.
Das Ritual des Trance Dance.

Und Heute ?
Die Musik einer Gesellschaft, wird immer von den Lebensumständen dieser geprägt.
Grade die letzten 5 Jahre sind wohl für uns alle nicht die besten gewesen.
Man hat uns Friede, Freiheit und viel Freude am Leben genommen.
Wir wurden isoliert, gespalten und der Druck auf unseren Leben wurde erhöht.
Unser Leben ist schneller, kälter, kommerzieller und teurer geworden.
All dies spiegelt sich in unserer Musik und Veranstaltungen wieder.
  
Musik aus der Vergangenheit hat aber noch eine andere Eigenschaft,
es weckt Gefühle und Erinnerungen in dir, die du schon
längst vergessen hattest.
Somit wünsche ich euch eine schöne Reise ins Jahr 2015 und hoffe das ihr euch vielleicht, auf diesem Weg, an etwas erinnert das euer Herz berührt hat,jedoch  schon längst vergessen habt.
Denn wenn ich mir die Nachrichten anschaue, denke ich , wir können alle etwas mehr positives im Leben gebrauchen

Before we embark on the X-Mas madness and and face the challenges of 2024,
I would like to take you back to the year 2015.

For me, this decade was the best of progressive psychedelic trance.
The productions didn't have the quality standard of today's music,
but it was music in our music.

I have always been a trance DJ and I love playing with music, tones and sounds.
Music that touches the heart, soul and spirit of a person and release positive emotions.
Today I ask myself more and more, where are those trance ballads that touched our hearts at sunrise,
and you didn't know whether to laugh or cry with joy?

30 years ago it was always said that the party has to start with feeling,  the night has to be hard and fast so that you can dance the negative out of yourself and 
you can open yourself up to the beauty in the music in the morning.
It should give you joy and strength for what lies ahead in your life.
The ritual of the trance dance.

And today?
The music of a society is always characterised by its living conditions.
The last 5 years have probably not been the best for all of us.
We have been deprived of peace, freedom and much joy in life.
We have been isolated, divided and the pressure on our lives has increased.
Our lives have become faster, colder, more commercial and more expensive.
All this is reflected in our music and events.

But music from the past has another quality,
it awakens feelings and memories in you that you had long forgotten.
So I wish you a wonderful journey into 2015 and hope
that you might, along the way, remember something that has touched your heart,but that you have long since forgotten.
Because when I look at the news, I think we could all do with a little more positivity in our lives.

Driven hunt 
When someone asks me what my favourite time to play is,
is the answer
At an open air - the sunset
In a club - from 01:00 at night 

As different as these two locations are, they do have one thing in common.

Open Air : 
The sunset is probably the most beautiful moment of the day, it is energising and not for nothing is it celebrated by many people every day.
It is a kind of magic that captures us and has been revered for thousands of years  by many peoples around the world for good reason.
But it's not this moment or the twilight that fascinates me so much, it's the play with people.
I love watching people on the dancefloor, whether they are dancing, whether they are laughing and having fun with the music. 
I love making eye contact with people, it gives me positive energy when I can see the laughter in their eyes.
it's a nice moment every time.
It's the only way to judge whether the music really fits, it's not so easy at night, because everything becomes one big opaque mass.
Blinded by light effects, lasers and fog machines.

The time before the downfall is also the time when most people gather on the dancefloor.
However, the whole thing is still a bit subdued, they chat on the sidelines or at the bar,
They watch the game, just as I watch them.

In the club.
It's no different here.
People usually arrive around midnight or a little later, they first stand at the bar or on the dancefloor and chat, they watch what's going on, just like I do.
In both cases, it's the DJ's job to lure them onto the dancefloor, to get them going,lead them musically into the night.

For me, it is always a game, a challenge, to get the audience 
from their seats and to drive them deeper and deeper into our music

You have to musically convince a lot of people to get involved with your playing and that should be done with care and caution, because it's probably not smart to slay they immediately with your music.

Yes, you have to make compromises, you can't play some tracks because they're not appropriate for the time, but this game is always worth it to me.

It's actually no different to what our ancestors did thousands of years ago.
They went into the forest or the countryside and used lure calls, rhythmic drumming or even startled the game to drive them to a certain point.

Today this is called a driven hunt!

Opening a party is always a challenge for me.
I don't think there's any other time when you can learn as much about DJing and dealing with music than at this time.
It's harder to get people dancing with your music,
than keeping them on the dancefloor at night.

Especially when you open a party, you can't always play the music you want to play, but you have to be objective.
The right music at the right time is probably the best statement.

At an open air you have a good game, people wait all day for the opening.and you can give them what they've been waiting for so long.
You can start immediately, but also with caution.

At an indoor party, I see things a little differently.
I don't think it's an advantage if you're already playing 142bpm psy trance after 30 minutes 
and the system is immediately in the red zone.
I always have the feeling that I'm visiting someone and I'm getting
a board in front of my head.
But that's my opinion, every DJ and every organiser thinks differently and maybe that's a good thing.

I take a more cautious approach and prefer to play music 
that a lot of people know.
That usually appeals to people and encourages them to dance.
Over time, I then turn the music into my comfort zone,
I prefer to be in and look for the right thing for the situation and time.

For me, the first DJ of the night has a big responsibility!
He is the foundation of the party, prepares the way for the following DJs and writes the first words in a blank book.
He writes the first chapter and it has a name:

There are not many musical genres in the world 
that is as multifaceted as our music.
What was once one like many other musical genres
one, has divided like the roots of a tree
divided into different directions.
If we're honest, in the end nobody knows anymore,
what has what name now.

I'm always labelled a progressive DJ,
just because more than 20 years ago, together with other labels
launched a music genre onto the market 
which didn't exist back then and which was given the name 
progressive trance.

But that's not the case, every DJ has their own style, 
I always call it a signature and it can sometimes 
be a bit more extensive. I don't go into a corner and
and give my music a certain direction.
A DJ should always be able to adapt musically to the situation.
And that's what I do.
My heart belongs to progressive & psychedelic trance music
and that's a big difference

I've played countless parties over the last 30 years
and listened to a lot of DJs.
But I haven't heard many DJs in that time, 
who have almost the same style as me.

At Vortex / South Africa, I heard a DJ who surprised me musically.
After a long time, a DJ played there who almost had my signature style. 
And I immediately thought: 
You were lucky if this DJ had played before you,
then you would have had a slightly bigger problem.

Vor genau 30 Jahren hat Ananto als Veranstalter unsere Musik nach Berlin gebracht und das war kein leichtes Unterfangen. 
In einer so von Techno geprägten Stadt wie Berlin unsere Musik bodenständig zu machen, 
erfordert einen langen Atem und Vertrauen in unsere Musikkultur.

requires staying power and trust in our music culture.

This club is one of the best that Germany has to offer and is probably unique in its kind in Germany.

In diesem Club hat Ananto und seine Crew eine Partyreihe mit dem Namen Mystic Rose ins Leben gerufen
Einmal im Monat, an einem Freitag , wird der Kit Kat Club zum Zentrum unserer Trancemusik in Berlin, 
was sowohl bei den DJs als auch bei den Gästen keine Fragen offen lässt.

* In this club, Ananto and his crew have launched a party series called Mystic Rose
Once a month, on a Friday, the Kit Kat Club becomes the centre of our trance music in Berlin, 
which leaves no questions unanswered for both the DJs and the guests.

Als ich gefragt wurde, ob ich diese Party mit einem 5-Stunden-Set eröffnen wolle, gab es für mich nur eine Antwort: JA!

*When I was asked if I wanted to open this party with a 5-hour set, there was only one answer for me: YES!

Wann hat man als DJ schon mal die Möglichkeit, sich so zu entfalten, in einer außergewöhnlichen Location, 
mit perfektem Sound, Deko, Technik, Crew, Personal und einem unglaublichen Publikum. 
In dieser Location und bei diesem Event stimmt einfach alles, von der Tür bis zum letzten Ton.
Da merkt man wirklich, dass die Mystic Rose und die Kit Kat Crew, sehr viel Erfahrung als Veranstalter haben und das
auch zu 100% umsetzen.

When do you ever have the opportunity as a DJ to unfold like this, in an extraordinary location, 
with perfect sound, decoration, technology, crew, staff and an incredible audience. 
In this location and at this event, everything is just right, from the door to the last note.
You can really tell that the Mystic Rose and the Kit Kat crew have a lot of experience as organisers and realise this 100%.

It's the 21st century and our music is no longer  what it once was.
The name Goa Trance is just a brand name and this basic 
music style has been torn into countless other names, like a flag in a storm.

Music is a matter of taste and many people have certainly found what they like.

But there are countless people in our world whose taste has not been met
and they only want one thing: our good old music back.
Goa trance.
Not only that they want the music back, but also the feeling of a real party,
which probably no longer exists in this day and age.

Do they really no longer exist?
A handful of organisers have recognised these signs and felt called upon to give 
these people what they miss,.
A traditional event, or as we call it today.
Old School Party

These events are growing in popularity and it looks like they are returning, 
as if they are back in our future.
The classic traditional Goa trance parties.

Probably the biggest event is the ZNA Gathering,
which takes place every two years at a beautiful location in Portugal.

When I received the request to play this festival again in 2022,
it brought me considerable joy.
After all, this festival has been close to my heart for more than a decade,
It's like returning to a time long gone.
With people who have somehow become friends,
whether I know them or not, in the end this music unites us as one.

But when I was told that I was to play at the end of the first day, I had to swallow,
because that meant leading people through the heat of the day and making it special.
The line-up that day was really huge, and there were two things I had to take into account besides the heat.
to consider.
Playing music that you might not hear again during the whole festival
and to end the day in a traditional way. 
Bringing the dancefloor down slowly and steadily, but never losing the pressure,

But one thing was clear to me: the last half hour should belong to the music,
that started it all for me 30 years ago.

It took months to find the right tracks, and in some cases I also had to
Re-Master by my partner Michiel Thole (Drukverdeler) as well as possible.
To then put this musical story together like a puzzle.

I really enjoyed it all because it was a different kind of challenge.

Sometimes we feel like we’ve seen it all, we’ve heard it all, and we can’t be surprised anymore. Most of the time this is true. But not in this case. It takes a very special alchemy to reach the magical ingredient of a sonic intoxication, and this is exactly what Drukverdeler and Bim have created. This unique live act brings together two talented artists to push the limits of the artistic practice of Psytrance into realms not seen before.&#13;
 Andreas Binotsch aka Bim and Michiel Thole aka Drukverdeler (in Dutch - Pressure distributor), met in 2001 and realized that combining their talents makes a super powerful electronic machine that few can resist. Bim’s mastery of mixing since the 1990s topped with his samples and vocals AND Drukverdeler’s programming and engineering skills create a psychedelic monster that cannot be stopped. Being a prominent Dj from Germany as well as the founder of the monumental label Medium (later Midijum) Dj Bim has established himself as one of the leading figures in Psychedelic Trance. He has compiled more than 100 compilations for labels such as Millennium, Sony Music, ID&amp;T, Arcade, Time Warner, Universal, Nova Tekk and Beluga. His musical journey began in Goa, therefore, it is no wonder why he prefers long sets that transcends everybody on the dance floor to a different universe, while adding more colours, shades and layers of psychedelica that feels like meditation.  &#13;
Drukverdeler aka Michiel Thole comes from the Netherland and started producing music in 2004 as part of the project Mad Contrabender. After meeting Bim in a party in 2011 and giving him his track Universe, Bim has realized that this could be a beginning of a beautiful collaboration. He not only released this track in his Yellow Sunshine Explosion/Millennium Records, but also started to create a special laboratory where music experiments were made without any a formula or a pattern. Each time a new formation would come to life, and this has resulted into one of the most innovative fascinating collaborations out there at the moment.&#13;
