ÄNÄ

Originally a 4-part choir arrangement (SATB) of the classic Swedish X-mas song "Jul, jul, strålande jul" that I decided to record as an instrumental with two electric basses (fretless on the tenor part) and two electric guitars – and since I'm Mr. Gul (gul = yellow), it felt appropriate to name this version "Gul, gul, strålande gul".

Gul, gul, strålande gul

After making the "Gul, gul, strålande gul" arrangement of "Jul, jul, strålande jul", I received a request to make a similar arrangement of "Giv mig ej glans" – and so I did. In hindsight, this arrangement would probably have sounded better if transposed to A or Bb major, but it's hard for me to let go of original arrangement keys – especially if it's in F major, which this and "Jul, jul, strålande jul" both are (and many other Swedish songs/hymns as well).
