Mr Happy Chainsaw are a 4 Piece Poppy Punk Rock band from Essex

After reforming early in 2017, Mr Happy Chainsaw recorded and released single “Standing There” and EP “It’s Not My Ball”. "Standing There” gained local, national and international airplay, earnt the band the opportunity to appear on various radio shows in both a live performance and interview capacity, saw the band booked to perform at various festivals and regular national dates. “Standing There” wasn't the only track on the EP to receive exposure, some tracks were play listed on local and national radio stations, “Charlie” received airtime on BBC Introducing with the official music video receiving over 20,000 combined plays between Facebook and YouTube in it's first 2 weeks.

After 2017’s successful return Mr Happy Chainsaw were temporarily side-lined for spells of 2018 due to guitarist Scott undergoing back surgery. 

January 2019 saw the band release their new single “Safe Place” in aid of Mental Health Charity CALM which not only gained local and national radio play but also raised over £1200 for CALM in it’s first week.

Before reforming in 2017 and before our hiatus in 2009 we took our catchy rock music all over the UK playing with some of the best UK bands of old and new with likes of The Vibrators, UK Subs, Madness, TAT, New Town Kings, My Awesome Compilation, Koopa, We Are The Ocean, INME and Enter Shikari.

Still not sold…… well let me put it this way. If Mr Happy Chainsaw were a cocktail you’d have to take a pinch of Blink 182, Green Day and Alkaline Trio, add a splash of Foo Fighters, a hint of Barry Manilow and Elton John and top it all off with a generous serving of Essex and then you’d have a Mr Happy Chainsaw.
