Taken from his forthcoming EP Black Diamonds, which is currently being recorded with JOAT Music Group (J Hus, Major Lazer, NSG), and set for release this summer, ‘6:30’ is the brand new single from fast-rising UK rap/Sing and Afroswing artist Mr Jayvic, produced by Malvonthetrack, who produced Not3s hit track ‘Addison Lee’, and has also worked with T Mulla and Kilo Keemzo.

 

Popularly known for underground hit tracks such as ‘RunTingz’, ‘Say Nuttin’, ‘My Rider’, and ‘Gyal Ah Whine’, Mr Jayvic comes on the back of recent support from Link Up TV, Reprezent Radio, The Beat London, Pulse88 Radio and Mixtape Madness, among others, and has also supported the likes of Not3s, Burna Boy, and C Biz, to mention a few.

 

Speaking about the inspiration for ‘6:30’, Mr. Jayvic says, “the record was inspired by the Jamaican dance 630, but I also took inspiration from my kids, who are half Jamaican and half Nigerian – the track finds its roots within both Jamaican and African culture, as a result. With ‘6:30’, I tried to fuse the Jamaican dance, with my trademark UK rap, and sounds from Africa”.

 Just Finished Recording his Followup EP Titled ‘Daddy’s Home’ Project for 2020 Release, but Set for a New drop in November 7th, The first Single Can’t kill my vibe feat Goldie1 Co written and Co produced by AyoBeatz has a lot to prove as he has been away for a minute, he has been mindful to broaden his influences further beyond Africa, Jamaica, London Uk and USA, with a nice fusion of ebullient blend of Dancehall, Afrobeats, Grime, Rap and R&B, The Track was partly influenced by and made reference to Diddy I Need Remix with Ginuwine & Mario Winans , and influences from the likes of Nigerian legends Fela Kuti Tuface Timaya and likes of Jamaican Legend Bob Marley & The Wailers
