@carlothings is an artist who is making some great moves in 2021. Following his ace 'Mediterraneo EP' on his own Aterral label he is back in super quick fashion with the 'Supernatural Providers EP' on Sune & Vitamin D's @HoneyButterRecords. It's a label overflowing with quality which has been making it's own impressive moves recently. It's most definitely a match made in heaven and Carlo has delivered four tracks of scintillating house music.

This release is individually 300 hand-numbered limited edition. The first 100 copies are pressed on PURPLE vinyl (AR023).
Parma-based singer and songwriter Loreni’s released her synth-pop version in 2020 and here the always charming Mushrooms Project are joined by Deep88 to provide four subterranean reworks. Translated as ‘snow in May’, the song alludes to the confusing and unexpected times through which the world is currently living, and Loreni’s bittersweet vocals offer ample inspiration for the chosen remixers to work their respective magic here. Fellow Parma residents Marco and Girogio unite under their Mushrooms Project banner with three distinct interpretations.
The duo’s work is always immaculately formed, and here they open proceedings with their ‘Disco Maxi Single’ version, where throbbing synth bass and atmospheric waves are joined by crisp machine drums for a pulsating club workout. Their ‘Balearic’ mix finds them in familiar territory as they join Leo Almunia to compose a blissful soundtrack to immersive ocean-side reflections. As the name suggests, their ‘Rave’ version is designed for dubbed out dancefloors, with bass-heavy rhythm and wigged-out effects periodically lifted by dreamy chords and distantly gliding vocals. Finally, Alessandro ‘Deep88’ Pasini arrives with his authentic dream house version, with emotive pads caressing Loreni’s reverb-soaked vocals over a chugging four/four rhythm.

Ichisan - Mercedes Taxi (Cabernet Version)

Ichisan’s 2017 Aperitiv was so good that we’ve decided to return for a second helping from his sumptuous album. Four choice cuts have been selected and reworked with a specific instrument focus. The harpsichord version of “Hotel” keeps the intoxicating melody of the original but allows beats to relax as notes shine with an incandescent brilliance. Drums put their feet up for the Rhodes version of “Modri Tunel.” Deep stings and lounging lines mingle in this work of smoke swirling seduction. “Kozmetika (Trumpet Version)” dances to a different tune. Rich bass is again central but this time brash and bold brass intertwine with funk filled bars. The last waltz arrives with the piano version of “Terminal E.” Alluring notes ascend, rising and falling against heartwrenching guitar strings for a finale to end this ballroom inspired beauty.

PREMIERE : Ichisan - Kozmetika (Trumpet Version)

After reaching volume 7,  LAGASTA's "Late Summer" ongoing compilation series has now become a trademark for the ending of summer. Featuring some of the finest tracks of the year, the compilation is packed with sun-kissed, groove-filled tunes that provide you with a never-ending summer feeling. Fueling many blissful joyrides at no cost and free download as always. 
Now, LAGASTA is proud to present something new and special in the form of a double-vinyl album. A tangible compilation series, entitled "Last Gas Station", which is compiled with only exclusive tracks. The first "Last Gas Station" compilation features 12 new tracks and aims to showcase artists that the site has followed for many years, as well as  promising talents to keep an eye on. It also marks the launch of our exciting new label, LAGASTA Records.
The collection's opening track is a sunshine-filled slice of daytime disco from LA's duo Poolside recent album "Heat", which is remix by Baio, aka Vampire Weekend's bassist Chris Baio. Next one is Crew Love’s David Marston, who teams up with Dan Izco for a blissful ride. Mexico's finest Zombies in Miami deliver a dancefloor odyssey in the form of "Temple of Love", while Italian duo Marvin & Guy drop an epic slow-burner called "Asbek". 
DFA’s Greek mastermind Larry Gus  never ceases  to amaze us with yet another example of what he does best, followed by “Charlie Rose”, a classy, club-ready track from Brooklyn's duo Vito & Druzzi, aka Vito Roccoforte and Gabriel “Druzzi” Andruzzi, best known for being the drummer and multi-instrumentalist of DFA’s The Rapture.  Next up, Adelaide-based producer James Curd and Turbotito, aka Los Angeles producer Filip Nikolic of Poolside, have joined forces once again for a new collaborative tune “Lost" filled with warm grooves and melancholic synths, followed by our favorite NY unstoppable disco funkers Midnight Magic with their infectious track "Through The Motions" of pure disco glory. 
Woolfy Vs Projections, the duo of California-based musicians Simon “Woolfy” James and Dan Hastie, keep the summer vibes going with their track "Your Past Behind", a quality example of the signature sound.  Disco Halal’s Moscoman teams up with MoRayon for an extra dose of lush vibes on “Play No Game". LA's Daniel T. takes us for a ride with "Moonlight Bounce", a perfectly crafted tune full of melodic soundscapes, while Peaking Lights Acid Test, the live instrumental disco project of APC (Aaron Coyes of Peaking Lights) closes the compilation in the best way possible with a gorgeous slice of synth rhythm heaven.

There should be a new name for Norwegian balearica as they are hitting the sweet spot every time. This EP is no exception, with its retro analogue sounds touching on Ibiza, Italo, soundtrack and all the good stuff.

The Telemark Express is a collaboration between Norway's Kjetil Lagesen aka Kellini, an up and coming disco producer and familiar name on the Nordic scene, Jarle Bråthen. Periodically they both have 'writer's block' but when they hit the studio together, these obstacles fade away and the magic emerges.

Epic Proportions starts things off at a pace with its bubbling arpeggiator, congas and 4/4 beat that build, before the epic synths takes things to space disco heaven.

Inflatable Ego goes full balearic with its reggae lilt, stringless flanged bass and selection of analogue synths. Close your eyes and it could be 1986 in Amnesia as Alfredo drops that dubbed out Demis Roussos B-side everyone's been banging on about.

The title track goes deep with a nagging synth and swells that lay underneath Vangelis like synths as they pick out their melody.

Bright Future keeps the squelchy bass with uplifting chords to send the sun down in to the Med as you move on to your third Long Island Ice Tea.

Too Slow to Disco have been on fire recently. Their current project is the magnificent The Sunset Manifesto album which features the cream of the Nu Disco world. As well as a beautifully presented blue & yellow vinyl double album there was also an excellent 12" release from Kraak & Smaak from the album. Their latest single from the project see's French Nu Disco legend Yuksek step up to remix Glamour Hammer's 'Is It True' which featured on the album in it's original form. Based in the beautiful and vibrant city of Madrid, Spanish DJ and Producer Extraordinaire - Rayko has been a leading light in the clubbing scene around Europe and beyond, since he founded his magnificent Rare Wiri label in 2008 where he has released some of the coolest names out there during all these years like Daniele Baldelli, Man Parrish, Gazeebo, Ilija Rudman, Ichisan, Spirit Catcher, Mushrooms Project, or Eric Duncan among many others

His very unique sound and personality, and incredible work ethic, coupled with  unstoppable creative genius have given Rayko the momentum and consistency to stack up a number of great achievements in his genres, although being such a humble and down to earth guy, he will tell you that he just loves what he does and is perpetually inspired to keep on doing it! 

Deeply rooted in the golden era of the ‘70s and ‘80s, Rayko’s influences are masterfully interpreted and transformed into modern day dancefloor bombs with great vision. His love affair with the evolution of synthesizers and vintage drum machines has gone on to heavily fuel his sound today, in addition to sonic desires of 80s Rock evident in his catalogue, that displays such exquisite musical versatility. 

Rayko is very proud to have featured on over fifty great vinyl releases, spread across labels such as Eskimo, Is it Balearic?, Whisky Disco, Lumberjacks in Hell, and Editorial, including two studio albums on Nang Recordings, in addition to over two hundred digital releases. Many of these titles have been repeatedly featured in Top 10 sales charts, with some releases making it to the coveted number one position on platforms like Juno Download, Beatport, and Traxsource. His talents as a remixer have been in constant high demand, with invitations from coveted Artists like Psychemagik, Sirs, In Flagranti, Roberto Rodriguez, or Dj Rocca, to name a few, calling upon his exceptional skills.

In his capacity as DJ, Rayko is much loved wherever he goes.
