The duo These Siamese consists of Marc and Macoe, who met in Philly and came to San Diego together over 20 years ago. Their influences include DJs and producers from all over the world and they consider themselves genre agnostic, although their library includes deep house, leftfield, Balearic, indie dance, next wave, and melodic techno. They believe there is a perfect song for every moment in life and this is what guides their track selection. They also occasionally foster kittens in their home, which they currently share with one Siamese cat and one black cat.

Join us as we had a couple of cold ones and delved deep into our usb's for three and a half hours at an afternoon house party. Love these sets when they come together like this one did - fast and loose on the vibe and just completely in the flow.

Risky maneuver By Cristian Vargas

This is my first go and had a lot of fun. Not sure why but the direction the samples pulled me was towards a harder, g-house, Dance Mania type vibe. I chopped up the basslines and matched the stabs with them. Isolated the strings, eq'd the low end out of the drums, so I could use the tops, then added some more perc and kick. I HAD to use the one sample from the winners circle so I found it and had fun with the breakdown. Lastly on the mixdown I really wanted to make it sound like it was from a tape, dubbed from vinyl, in the early 90s. [Edit: I nailed that crunchy washed out sound but I think it was too much, so I made some minor edits and remixdown and dialed that back a bit] I hope y'all enjoy!
