oh man, what can i say about the late great James Dewitt Yancey that hasn’t been said before? visionary, inspirational, unique, leader, etc. when i had my experience last year with COVID there were 2 people that i gravitated towards and they were Kanye and Dilla. i took the time to revisit his classic Donuts LP and “stop” struck a chord in me, emotionally. this man dedicated his dying breath doing what he loved and that inspired me to a whole other level. i spent every day in Gainesville perfecting my craft of producing to honor this man and this is what came out of it. 

it’s only right that i release this on the legend’s birthday.
