Miriam Glinka is a Berlin/London based artist, born in Frankfurt-Main/Germany. She studied art at the famous Staedelschule, KHB Berlin, and the UdK Berlin with professors like Hermann Nitsch, Georg Baselitz and Wolfgang Tillmans. Glinka appeared in a couple of art films of underground filmmaker legend Harald Budde (ca 2002-2009). Her work is interdisciplinary . She formed the French/German punk band 'Manchmal a Make-Up' together with David Maars in 2006, but split up in 2007 after a disastrous tour through France.She collaborated with British underground legend Antal Nemeth and berlin based producers Hounddogg Harris and Gene Berlin. She is also the great-great granddaughter of the famous Russian composer Mikhail Glinka.
