Growing up in LBC in the 90's heavily influenced Mr. Modina's hip hop style. In 1999 at 14, he was elected by his own 8th grade student council as the school's first official DJ. Besides playing at the dances, he convinced the staff to let him spin everyday during lunch breaks. Outside of school he was the go to for any mobile gigs. House parties, quinceañeras, debuts, weddings and corporate events filled his weekend schedule at a young age.

The early experience taught him the importance of connecting with the dance floor. "When you hear the crowd go AYE after you drop a track you dug up, or when you have everyone in the room singing along when you cut the volume -- you got em."

After years of playing in various Long Beach and LA clubs and bars, he moved to the entertainment capital of the world - Las Vegas, NV. He landed a 3 year residency at The Palomino, spinning for a hip hop adult show that ran 4 nights a week. The never ending parties in Vegas gave him the unique opportunity to study world renown DJ's and dance floors on his nights off. "I get to catch talent that most people would probably only hear once or twice a year. But it's every night out here" His dedication to his craft has helped shape him into a well rounded DJ. Armed with his hip hop roots, and countless hours of Vegas partying, he's always ready to rock any crowd he comes across. 

Mr Modina is also part a trio called the HOV Hitters. With his partners DJ Skeety and DJ Ducketz, they're on the rise in the local Vegas scene dropping mixes weekly. The Hitters currently hold residencies at Vanguard, 21 Lounge and Oracle Mansion.
