Adam 'Sol' Cairney AKA Young Sol was born & bred in the Isle of Man, a tiny island in the middle of the Irish Sea. A born lover of all sounds & styles on the musical spectrum but specifically drawn to anything soulful, funky and groovy. Sol has been travelling around the globe for the past few years on a mission to seek out new sounds, parties & people & eventually find a place to base himself to set up his own label.
Always diggin’ for fresh & new wax or digital sounds, he incorporates music from every era & genre in his mixes to take people on a journey through time, cultures & countries across the map. From Funk & Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop to Disco, House, Minimal, Tech & Jungle/Drum & Bass.
Adam also operates the Brother Bear Sessions guest mix series featuring regular sessions from smooth selectors from around the globe. The show consists of some of his favourite Artists, upcoming DJ/Producers, label owners or any music collectives that are creating musical movements in their hometowns.
