Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano have come together to serve up a very personal remix of the hugely influential self-titled classic by Age Of Love. It lands on the original Belgian label Diki Records on August 13th.

Age Of Love wrote and released their most iconic track in 1990. It went on to become a stone-cold dance classic that inspired a whole trance movement that has endured throughout the years. 

The idea to remix 'Age Of Love' started taking shape when KNTXT boss Charlotte was in lockdown with esteemed Italian techno artist Enrico at the end of February last year. As soon as the track was finished, it was played in several live streams and the online community quickly fell in love. The remix bears all the hallmarks of both producers, who between them have a number of Beatport hits and have crafted everything from the darkest drums to the most emotional synths to great effect.

Say Charlotte and Enrico, "It's a very meaningful track for both of us, for various reasons, and it brings back many joyful memories. Remixing such a legendary track was a super fun thing to do, but we noticed how easily and spontaneously we could work together in the studio. We are beyond excited to finally unleash our remix to the world. And this at a time where the world finally seems to be going back to normal. There is no better time for a New Age Of Love. We're ready."

'Age Of Love' (Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano Remix) is a big, driving techno roller. It has heavyweight drums and stripped back percussion which leaves plenty of room for the ionic synth lead and spine-tingling vocals to ring out and really work the crowd into a trance. 

This fantastic remix brings a new perspective to one of dance music's most celebrated and influential tracks.

‘Rosen’ kicks things off, merging melodrama and emotive atmospherics, it’s an immersive experience as the beats pulsate and a simple, but effective analogue melody works its magic. A distorted vocal creeps in and repeats over and over at various intervals, complementing the darkness of the instrumental.

This is followed by ‘N2020’, a pounding techno stomper. The oscillating bassline is joined by mysterious effects hovering in the mid-range. Sombre strings punctuate the breakdown, before we’re launched back into the deep end with the constant thud of the main kick drum working alongside the juddering low end.

The EP closes with two versions of ‘KCKC’. Firstly, it’s the ‘Epic Mix’, which sees Ellen implementing a vocal in her typically skilful way. An extended intro, lasting just over two and a half minutes builds the tension until we’re ready to burst, slamming kick drums juxtaposed with ethereal pad work. Then we have the original version, which is taut and potent, the drums, bass, vocals and pads all intertwined to create a mesmerising finale to the EP. KCKC became Ellen’s personal anthem of her balcony sets during covid lockdown.

Rave The Planet is excited to present the 8th Supporter Series sampler EP with individual tracks by Christian Smith, Paula Cazenave and Juliet Fox.

Rave The Planet is a non-profit organisation based in Berlin, dedicated to the art and culture of electronic music. Their main aims are to protect techno culture as an UNESCO Intangible Heritage and to bring back the spirit of the Berlin Love Parade with a new 'big techno parade' in 2022.

The 8th instalment opens with a techno masterpiece from the man himself: Christian Smith, founder of Tronic Records, and an artist who has featured his own music on other labels ranging from Drumcode to Cocoon. "Filter Force" is a classic DJ weapon with a stripped back, hypnotic groove that's perfect for peak time moments on the dance floor.

Juliet Fox has featured on some of techno's most prestigious labels including Filth On Acid, Kraftek, Octopus, Drumcode and her own TREGAMBE. Paying homage to the Berlin Love Parade, the dark and acidic track "It Began In 1989" features vocals about the history and vibe of the world-famous event.

Last on the EP is "Parade On Acid" by Spain's Paula Cazenave, who is the label boss of Combine Audio and a talented producer also releasing on the likes of Marco Faraone's UNCAGE. Her track incorporates the unmistakable sound of a 303, combined with a heavy kick and fizzing percussion to create a hard-hitting groove.

As ever, all proceeds from Supporter Series sales go directly into Rave The Planet's non-profit projects.

@ellen-allien contributes to the fourth instalment of the 'We Are Not Alone' series with ‘Reality‘, proving herself once again as a thrilling and pulsating force to be reckoned with. ‘Reality‘ offers an alternative take providing the opportunity to exist on her own uncompromising terms.

The 36-track compilation landing via @bpitch-control is split into three parts, each consisting of 12 cuts dedicated to the infamous We Are Not Alone event series and the best of underground techno talent.

For this instalment of the series, Allien collaborates with esteemed director and photographer Stini Roehrs for the multidisciplinary project 'AFTER DARK – Emotional States of Techno', consisting of a virtual rave film, book and exhibition produced by AKKURAT Studios, and the We Are Not Alone VA, which is to be released physically and digitally via BPitch.

As the big day of the parade approaches we are really excited for the 10th release in the catalogue! For the first time in the series our supporters, plus Dr. Motte himself, take over the remix duties to deliver a full package of their Rave The Planet Parade's anthem interpretations!

The original by A*S*Y*S & Kai Tracid gets a remix treatment - making it a carefully tailored fit for various dance floors from Melodic House to peak time Techno.

The pack starts off strong with a rework by Klaudia Gawlas. Known for her outdoor Techno festivals DJ experience - from Mayday and Time Warp to Awakenings and Tomorrowland - she delivers a real prime time Techno weapon. Fast tempo, rolling sweaty beats resonate with that unmistakable acid arpeggio and hypnotic vocal sample.

Next up is Beatport Top100 Melodic House & Techno artist, Katermukke's very own - Matchy, who jumps on the remix blending smoothly the minimal and melodic house aesthetics with some stormy build up moments that will make the crowd go wild.

Last but not least, Rave The Planet's mastermind https://soundcloud.com/dr-motte teams up with his old friend and long-time studio collaborator https://soundcloud.com/tomwax (Harthouse, Bush Records, Suara, Filth On Acid) to share their vision of the perfect parade's anthem seen from a slightly different perspective. They open the version with their own vocal sample, boost the beat with a strong kick drum and add some extra colour and light beams through their artistic lens.
