Dramatic piece, with a hint of DJ Shadow.  The title comes from my daughter's reaction when I first played it to her.

"It's a bit dramatic isn't it, daddy?"

The mesosphere sits between 50-100km above the earths surface, with temperatures below -140 degrees C.  Most commercial aircraft are unable to travel at this altitude, and it is too low for most orbital spacecraft.  This is where most meteors burn up on entering the earth's atmosphere.
