Hanuš is a holistic collection of remembrance and reflection of my late friends John and Jacob, both of which are the names of the main characters in the film Spaceman which coincidentally became a deep inspiration while writing, recording and forming its concept. The overall theme of the Dreone project (as some may already know from Driftdown Procedure) is that the souls and spirit of my fallen companions live within the systems of a sentient spacecraft and its humanoid manifestation/android, the notion of which allows me the mental freedom to explore the cosmos through music and be a bit more experimental with my sound. This album in particular is about them traveling together through the echoes of memories and the loneliness of space to witness the beginning and end of everything, leading the listener to acceptance through catharsis. 

Gear used on this album includes, Arturia Mini and Microfreak, Arturia Pigments, Tascam 414 MKII tape loops, ESP LTD MH-400 B Baritone guitar, Collision Devices Blackhole Symmetry, and Bitwig.

After discovering his wife's infidelity, the Sultan decided to kill each of his wives the day after their wedding to prevent a potential betrayal. To save his life and that of other women, Scheherazade began telling stories that fascinated him every night, always ending them when they piqued his curiosity. This led the Sultan to spare her, and over time, he fell in love with her. The piece captures this extraordinary relationship, full of tension but also a gradual warmth and understanding. In the background, there's a sense of oriental magic, mystery, and the power of stories that have endured for centuries. This is a story about the power of words, wisdom, and love that arises where we least expect it.
