So here it is. It has been a while in the making this mix for me. I’ve made it countless times just so I could reminisce and remember the good times from Cambodia whilst never quite finishing it. 

It’s from a time when I really felt that I wanted to be more than just a listener of music and share the sounds that really made me tick. I never planned to be a DJ or be named Mr. Squires, I just happened to stumble across an emerging scene along my travels through the people I met along the way. I could just sense something special was coming and it felt right to be part of the whole experience from start to finish. 

I have tried to encapsulate a time when we could play the music that was true to our nature before we evolved into to a scene which we could never have comprehended. 

Certain tracks are timeless in my mind from this time and I just wanted to share them with you or anyone who would like to listen. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I have making it. “

Deckster discovered Dance Music in the late 80's, spoiled with the nearby situated famous Dutch clubs like "Waakzaamheid", IT Amsterdam and Roxy. He is addicted to music and plays several instruments, but never started playing the decks until mid 2020. His broad taste in music and search for out-of-ordinary tracks gives him a unique sound and vibe.

He is in the game for the fun and joy of sharing music and vibe. As music is tightly bond to atmosphere, place and time, the music varies from the most relaxed and chill sounds to some solid Techno beats!
His heart goes out to organic and downtempo progressive tunes, with a solid base in Bass, Drums and Percussion. Hypnotic and binding with an ever existing positive vibe.

Spirit-Cast #3

DJ/Producer Mr Squires (Otres Crew, Cambodia) a World traveller and  curator of sounds. His music styles ranging from Melodic House & Techno, Organic House to the slower multicultural grooves of Downtempo. 

Having travelled the Worlds music scenes from the US, Australian bush parties, Ibiza, Croatia to Berlin he has seeked out the music he now plays, produces and curates. 

He went onto spend six years in Cambodia as a resident DJ for the infamous South East Asian party Kerfuffle Cambodia whilst also studying the art of music production in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
