MM Discos marks its decade-long journey with a heartfelt compilation of over 30 tracks – a tribute to the artists who have defined its past and those who will shape its future. The label's unique identity was forged in the chaotic, all-night sessions at its Erkstrasse 19 basecamp, a freedom that evolved into a philosophy of rejecting genres in favour of pure musical instinct. This anniversary celebrates that "no rules" ethos with a three-volume "sonic tutti-frutti," beginning with a first instalment that rides a spectrum from laid-back grooves to upbeat, Balearic-tinged House rhythms.

As a highlight of the celebratory soirée, Pleasure Voyage's "Puertas Del Cielo" perfectly embodies the label's genre-fluid philosophy. The composition is a beautiful sun-drenched theme, built on a warm, undulating bassline that provides a foundation for ethereal melodies and subtly Latin-inflected percussion. Soaring synth lines evoke a sense of celestial ascent, living up to its title "Gates of Heaven," while intricate textural details and an effortlessly cool groove ensure its dance-floor potency. It’s a sophisticated and immersive listen that confirms the duo's distinctive flair for creating transportive anthems designed for open skies and open minds.

Excited to announce The Outlaw Ocean Music Project, which is an innovative collaboration that melds music with journalism. I’ve enjoyed being a part of this project with @ian_urbina.

My upcoming release “No Oceans Unturned” inspired by his book “The Outlaw Ocean” is out now everywhere: theoutlawoceanmusic.com 

I want my music to convey a more serious tone to reflect the consequences of lawlessness at sea. I want my music to complement the book's darker, melancholy moods. Interestingly, however, the chapter that resonated with me the most was “The Rusty Kingdom.” This chapter’s central topic of one family declaring its own country in the sea, Sealand, was in itself silly and playful, which I appreciate. The chapter highlights the absurdity of the issue while revealing the various social and economic consequences that arise when no legal authority exists to police these sorts of stories.  
 
Because this book opened my eyes to the “anything goes” mindset of The Outlaw Ocean, I want each of my tracks in the EP to mirror the desire for more awareness and enforcement in international waters.
