Haunted

„Being a drummer, I’ve always been very interested in the rhythmic patterns of Latin American percussionists.
The groove for Samba developed, when I was playing around with the percussion and rhythms I heard in old Brazilian Samba records. 
What came out isn’t necessarily the typical Samba rhythm, but I wanted to keep the name to remember its creational process.

Samba is a fast, energetic house tune with a driving bass and a detailed percussion section. 
Underneath you’ll hear a fairly loud crowd ambience from the streets of Rio de Janeiro, that adds up to the liveliness of the song.
The simple arp pattern and a combination of chords were the elements for me that really made it a song, but there’s much more to discover like the big, unusual melody break at then end.

This EP marks a special milestone for me: It's the first time I've solely produced, mixed, and mastered a release all by myself!! 🤓
I had to concentrate so intensely and ended up creating way too many versions, pushing me to the brink of despair. In the end, I realized once more that music productions are never truly finished. It's more about letting go and finding contentment in the outcome.
That being said, I’m thrilled to present to you my most straightforward, bassline-driven production so far. My aim was to craft a set of 2 dancefloor killersss to play in my late night tech house sets and I'm looking forward to testing them out in the field very soon. Until then, enjoy and have some precious last days of summer.

After countless nights at this amazing venue, getting to play at Kater Blau was truly a dream come true. 🐈‍⬛💕 

I'm still buzzing from the energy and incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Huge thanks to the rest of the @diskolusion crew and all the dancers who vibed with me for those 3 hours – you made it unforgettable!
