With sounds ranging from muffling bass and high-tech staccato synths on the first premiere track “10 Elemental Masters” to the bewildering arpeggios, distant pads and hard kicks on “Recreational Programming”, Dj Mantis has created a spectacular output to stimulate your everyday with.

Mathis Ruffing’s Transatlantic debut cuts to the chase. This is getaway music, music designed to vaporise your long-dormant adrenal glands. ‘Skybox’ is made up of tracks that surge like quicksilver through veins, pulsing, flexing, relentlessly disciplined in execution. These tunes are crystalline and shimmering, eight sleek and streamlined club constructs rendered with what feels like the precision-engineering of some advanced alien DAW.

Opener ‘Ultranova’ hits like a cyborgian headbutt and refuses to let up. It’s followed by the one-two punch of the title track and ‘Hitherto’, which install cooling, gaseous pads and synths within breakneck drum&bassian exoskeletons. ‘Crater Edge’ and closer ‘Raytraced’ offer cryochamberesque respite from the cold-blooded fury enclosed within this release — well-earned breathing room in an album that takes hold with crisp and calculated force. Pure focus.

The sounds across these four tracks were made by SIM and NAP from 2021 to 2023 with lots of love and bass... the sessions started from the first time they met at NAP's studio, point always to kick it, jam and see what happens. After a couple months of that of course a sound develops, a process shines and a friendship grows. After a year or so trust built and a language made present. Transcending the spoken word and feeling unique to both...things start to really go off and the jams turn to songs. Two years pass and it’s time to celebrate with the marker and archive of all those deep sessions, now in edited form to be shared with all. And yeah, you can have all in common with someone when it comes to digging wubs, riddims and drum machines but add vulnerable earnest meetings with meals in between and good conversation about things other than music (or maybe how other things relate to it) and then you get something really special, something like SINNAZ. SIM and NAP journeying into collaboration with a debut EP of rhythmic noise, driving bog beats, swampy dembows, radioactive Dancehall and unhinged experimentalia.

On the B-Side, things go faster and thicker still.  B1 Moonra is a breaky tech-housey stepper, with a subaquatic feel. An uplifting deep dive, spookily playing with that one break we all know. But from really far away.  
B2 Grad has 2-step garage feel. One for the MCs. Erratic, energetic, hectic. But with a reassuringly repetitive bassline. Wait, we got one more ting:  The digi-only Ringtone is a dynamic, high-energy, digital xylophone excursion. Like Donkey Kong on ecstasy. And in space, somehow.

Manchester's greatest export Left, Right & Centre present a sprawling dancefloor exploration from Ghoulish featuring a potent club flip from label head Korzi.

Manchester-based DJ and producer Ghoulish makes a bold statement with his latest single, "Arc Flash." This release marks a departure from his previous work, delving into deeper, darker territories with a percussion-focused approach and tension-building tactics that keep listeners on the edge of their seats. The single is a follow-up to his collaboration with Skream on ‘IFEEL’. This most recent release showcases his ability to reach for a varying degree of sounds presented in different styles and for different settings.

Driven by chopped vocals and snappy snare hits, the track is reminiscent of inspiring artists such as Ploy and Pearson Sound, culminating in spiralling sonics that build and manifest in moments of electrifying rising and falling throughout.

Featuring a standout reflip from label head Korzi, which takes the release in a more abrasive route, layering the original elements with his signature glitchy, punchy manner. "Arc Flash" is a testament to Ghoulish's evolution as an artist, showcasing his versatility and innovation this time staying true to the Left, Right & Centre ethos - a link-up between a Manchester artist at the top of his game and a label pushing forward-thinking sounds truly making sense on this occasion.

PREMIERE : Ghoulish - Arc Flash (Korzi Remix)

Gost Zvuk presents the first vinyl release from the hidden gem of the Moscow electronic scene – Dmitry Drozdov. Under the shadowy alias of Dx2ov, on Interzona he plays with an array of fairground-like melodies, lo-fi house motifs, buoyant space-age optimism, and old-school UK breaks. Along with the strong emphasis on melody, at the forefront of his style is a keen ear for off-kilter, scattered percussion, with 'Voices' shining as a curious example of polyrhythmic, synthetic metallophone meshing with gritty Roland rhythm box styles. The album glides between these sharper moments and experiments with gloopy, submerged aesthetics and Madlib-like phone call snippets ('OK') as well as minimalist, Detroit-inspired funk on the microhouse-esque 'Loop' - another highlight with its perfectly placed and skewed vocal lead.

'Agnostic Title' runs close to 130bpm with a tight drum pattern reminiscent of the excellent 'Gesicht Aus Diamant' by 100Records, a minimal gem from 2005. Dima's track channels similar ecstatic synth propulsion, with what sounds like a warped choral disintegration washing in and out of the stereo field. More trippy vocal distortions all around! The influences run wide and deep across Interzona, from beat tape hip-hop to US house/techno and library music. The ambient closing cuts also tread a similar path at points to label mate Flaty's AEM Rhythm Cascade & Dices collaboration.
