After a long break of extensive procrastination and studio gear acquisitions, Lovebirds returns with ‘Just Music & Me’. Made some fifteen years ago in his Hamburg studio at the height of his early production period, it was forgotten on the hard drive until his best mate, SIRS (Daniel Klein) began playing it again, and people started asking “what is that?”.

The title cut is a synth heavy, disco, boogie, house joint that’s understated fun at its very best. ‘Straightfromtheheart’, is a mid-tempo 80’s Italo boogie vibe with lashings of luscious arpeggios, and a vocoder hook that drops in the last breakdown for maximum spinal chills. Closing out the EP is ‘For Anna (Onward Journey)’. Dedicated to the late girlfriend of a close friend, born out of random melody sung into an iPhone while taking a walk, the resulting effort is a love drizzled Patrick Adam-esque slow disco healer. With wet delays, catchy lead synths and huge breakdowns, this killer cut works on discerning dancefloors and private after hours alike.

Morocco’s rapidly rising talent on the Afro House scene, Wnoise, returns to DNJ Records with a hot set of remixes of IAMDJDRAKE & Keeyen Martin’s single, ‘Bother Me’. The package comes with 4 new mixes as Wnoise delivers an electronic Afro-Soul groove, set to potent beats and warm keys and punchy synth stabs, that fit Keeyan’s heartfelt vocals like a glove and transporting it into the Afro House arena.

DJ Drake (Celebrity DJ) is an entrepreneur and has been DJing for over 25 years, performing on stage with music industry giants including Busta Rhymes, DMX, Cameo, Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole & more. He is recognized in the US and internationally for playing all genres of music, is a producer, remixer, and a member of the Fleet DJ’s collective. A favourite for 10 years on US commercial radio stations, he now guests on SiriusXM and curates the Afro-Experience on Data Transmission Radio. Having dabbled with DJing during her 20s, Alice Palace took a break for well over a decade, favouring the dance floor over the DJ booth. She only seriously reconnected with DJing in the last year during the enforced lockdown after doing a show for a friend on EH-FM. A residency soon followed on Cowbell Radio, along with shows on Isolation Station, Graffiti Kings Radio, and Rising Edge Radio, with occasional sets for various live-streaming platforms in London, Edinburgh, and her new hometown of Berlin. 

  Her usual style is downtempo chugging dance music, often with a nod to the '80s and a large dose of sleaze. But here she has stepped up the pace a little, opening with some dark and moody basslines leading into a more uplifting dance-inducing second half.  

“I find it hard to define my style of music, it definitely doesn't fit easily into one or two genres. My earliest influences came from Lindstrom & Prins Thomas's style of spacey disco and they are still very present in what I play now, but I also really enjoy slow pitched down music that you can’t necessarily dance to but which provides a different type of escapism. Hence why my Mixcloud has a wide variety of sets playing many different types of music. It's a way to channel and express my emotions… and emotions change from day to day, week to week. I guess the best way to describe what I play is anything that either moves me emotionally or makes me want to move my feet. That's probably the best and most simple way to put it!”, she said.
