I wrote this song and recorded it to spread the message about the blood on your diamonds. The resource curse (Paradox of Plenty), mentioned in my song, refers to the paradox that countries and regions with an abundance of natural resources, specifically point-source non-renewable resources like minerals and fuels, tend to have less economic growth and are worse off for a number of reasons including conflict over the resources.
