We’re very excited to present the first Live & Direct of 2023, courtesy of our Pittsburgh-based residents Honcho. 

This one was recorded live at Nowadays on the first weekend of January, to a room of smiling faces for whom the festive nature of the new year had clearly not worn off. It's two hours of the crew in pure form, with all three DJs locked into the same irresistible groove. George, Aaron and Clark have a knack for uniting their own unique styles to present a cohesive vision of chugging, sexy house music, and here it is on full display. Big thanks to Honcho for letting us share this with the world!

In addition to the killer music from both Honcho and Father Dukes, this night was especially memorable thanks to everyone in attendance contributing to the friendly and joyful vibe, from the dancers to the staff and everyone in between. A big thanks is due to you all as well!

@suze_ijo hails from the vibrant city of Rotterdam but her sound is inspired by her own heritage and takes in scenes from all over the world. She is a passionate collector of broken beats, techno, and breaks from West Africa, South America and the West Indies who has made her mark both in the club and her radio shows. She has hosted her own proudly diverse parties and always works to make the dance floor a place of harmony and togetherness. 

This week, she weaves together a lush array of soulful sounds across the house spectrum. The grooves are smooth and analogue and flow freely as water as emotive vocals, warm late-night synths and cuddly pads all make for an intimate and heartfelt selection for cosy dance floors. It's a perfect way to awaken your week and enrich your senses.

One time jazz dancer, Marcia Carr is a woman of many talents with many years of industry insider experience. A deejay of long stature and also a member of the Ladyz™ collective she indeed has many a string to her bow.

She has graced the decks at many events and social soiress over the years to recent haunts like Is It LIVE, Mind Fluid, Whistle Bump, Southport Weekender, Right Area, Shelter, Back II Basics, Southport Sessions, House Huntin, Weekending amongst others. Playing regularly on the international circuit too Marcia's a well renonwned figure within the realms of quality underground Dance.  Having spun with some honorary names over the years that include Kerri Chandler, Phil Asher, Paul 'Anderson, Frankie Valentine, Norman Jay MBE, Larry Heard, Jeremy Newall, Seamus Haji (Big Love Music), Orin Walters (BITA), Teddy Douglas (The Basement Boys), Marc Mac (4 Hero), Ricky Morrison (M&S Productions), Bert Bevans (Studio54), DJ Paulette, Kevin Beadle (Mind Fluid), Neil Pierce, Johnny Reckless (Cybersoulmusic.com), Kaidi Tatham, Jazzie B, Cosmo, Rachel Aubern and many others. She's also fitting in freelance contributions to publications such I-DJ, TheSoulSurvivors.co.uk, Basic-Soul.com and Soulm8online magazines. 

Marcia heads up talking Music Productions PR which has assisted many distinct record labels and artists like The Basement Boys, Phil Asher, Kajmere Sound (The Rebirth), Peven Everett, Judah & Secret, Souled, The Royal priesthood and others, as well as turning her hand at producing and remix work in the studio and music consultancy which also keeps her schedule busy. 

It's no wonder then that her diversity and knowledge perfectly illustrates exactly why she very much in demand; she IS the DJ's DJ!
