Up in tempo from the original 40bpm, this beauty brings the jack back up to 118bpm. The groove, vocal work and fullness in sound is quintessentially Nokken, a prolific producer who has released on the likes of Plunk!, Lethal Script, E-minor, Wunderkammer, Der Traegerlose Hut and many more. 

Nokken dabbles in various aspects of electronic music culture, from production, to hosting the incube8 podcast series, to promoting nights in London. Big thanks to him for this remix and offering it to y'all as a free download.

My remix for Ampairelais' upcoming EP on Bleepsequence. It's glitchy and broken-beat; introducing elements for the dance-floor only to take them away again. This is a snippet of a premaster.

Apparently the title 'Quauder' is a shortened version of the German word 'Kauderwelsch', which roughly translates as 'lingo' or 'gibberish' in English.

Next up in the mix series is Brockout resident and queen of the Southwest underground, Ms Ogyny, aka Shibby .

It's been a massive year for Shibs, with a busy schedule of UK-wide gigs including Don't, I Love Acid, Orbital Gathering, and NSC - as well as consistently tearing up our Exeter parties. 

Volume 4 is a perfect introduction to Ms Ogyny's sound and style - a hypnotic, acid-soaked excursion off the beaten tracks of techno and electro. In her own words...

"A meandering mix of old and new - featuring tracks from all over the globe, as well as a special yet-to-be-released track from the late ReKaB. This was an unplanned mix I recorded at home last month (hence you may be able to hear some false starts beginning to creep in at times!) but it gives an overall flavour of what I tend to dig: dubby, acid-y, electronic groove-based music."

Here is the recording from my warm up for the incredible @ignez__ last month at Loco Klub, Bristol.

Radical honesty - I had some monitoring issues on the night that may be felt in the recording and made me hesitant to share. However, I’m actively working on letting go and being less of a perfectionist. It feels important in a world of rampant AI use.

If you’ve heard me play out, this one may surprise you as it’s rare I stick to one ‘tone’ throughout. But this is music I love: dubby, textural, polyrhythmic swampy sound design, and I wanted to vibe-build for our headliner. It is also the most strictly ‘techno’ I’ve played in a while!
