Straight out of Edinburgh, Scotland, Craig Smith (fondly known as 6th Borough Project) is a colossal producer and DJ. Being a stalwart in the scene from a young age led him to make his deejaying debut in 1987 at Edinburgh's legendary club night, The Hooch. It was then that Craig Smith, the DJ, was born. 

Craig Smith's musical influences include boogie, jazz-funk, soul, old-school hip hop, and house. He is renowned for his non-compromising approach towards the music he loves. And relentlessly recognized for playing quality dance music, earning him countless headline international gigs and radio appearances. 

Craig’s recording work has been met with great critical acclaim. He has produced records for various labels such as EMI, Virgin, Hush Hush, In Demand, Maxi, Five20East, and Soul Heaven under his own name. This includes various guises such as Harden Soul Project, The Wayfarers, The Soul Renegades, The Shaw Height Assembly, and more popularly, 6th Borough Project alongside DJ/ Producer extraordinaire, The Revenge. 

His discography includes remixes tracks for Cevin Fisher, Roland Clark, Afro Medusa, Beverly Knight, Soul Providers, Moloko, and the Hong Kong Micros to mention a few. Craig has played alongside countless legends like Mr. Scruff, Black Coffee, Detroit Swindle, Motorcity Drum Ensemble, Bugz in the Attic, Osunlade, MAW, Kerri Chandler, DJ Spinna, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Deep, and Paul Trouble Anderson. His production credits include BBE Music, Peppermint Jam, Roar Groove, Defected Records, Delusions of Grandeur, !K7, Atjazz Records, and Yoruba Records. 

Craig Smith with South Africa's Kongisto (Slow Mo Lounge founder) break in the new year with 4 hours of brand-new music, unreleased and household staples, raw disco cuts, nu-disco, soul, as well as some funk. Craig plays the 1st two hours and Kongisto plays the rest.

Based in Colombia’s capital Bogotá, Felipe Gordon is a renaissance man. The producer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and label head from Bogotá, Colombia is nothing short of a phenom, effortlessly fusing complex sound combinations from Jazz samples to flowing pianos and acid bass lines into hugely exciting and unique house records. It’s a sound which comes together perfectly to create tracks which have been moving waves worldwide over the last couple of years. Felipe has already released a string of hugely well regarded tracks and worked on remixes for some of the coolest labels out there including Toy Tonics, Local Talk, Shall Not Fade, Razor n' Tape and his own Nómada Records.

I think it would be fair to say that some people whose out put is quite regular suffer from quantity over quality. For Malik Kassim, the Amsterdam based producer also known as Retromigration, this just is not the case. With three records out already this year and plenty more on the horizon including a full LP on Wolf Recordings, it seems Kassim is determined to debunk the quantity over quality theory and prove you can very much be both. His records do the speaking for this argument, with his styles ranging similar to modern greats like Folamour and Kerri Chandler massively influencing off funky and up beat rhythms yet still maintaining that punchy four to the floor techy beat and its in these influences we move on the Phonica Mix 96; Retromigration takes us on a trip through many styles here across jazzy beats, funky rhythms, pumping house and melodic piano riffs, its very much a day in the Sun kinda party mix and he definitely helps us imagine that setting here.

Artist bio _ Saint Paul is a Producer and DJ living in Lyon (France).
From an Ivorian father and a French mother, the young artist was born in Abidjan and raised in Lyon. Influenced by African music, jazz, hip hop and funk are now an integral parts of Saint Paul's music. Since his teenage years, Saint Paul is building a style around groove and emotion. His music is produced to make the crowds dance. However some of his tracks are intimate and ideal to listen to at home. In 2015, surrounded by Folamour, Kaffe Crème and Ethyène with whom he shared common influences and affinities, Saint Paul co- founded his own label. More than a record company, the Moonrise Hill Material family is born and gives new impetus to his career with two appearances on VA and the release of his first solo EP on wax.

Gledd developed an appreciation for Soul, Funk & RnB music at an early age. His sound is a complex tangle of black music, electronic sound and house beats. He started its career playing in some of the most known clubs of its hometown (Pordenone) and at 19 he moved to London to look for new music experiences. Eventually, Gledd parleyed the demand for a new international experience, moving in Madrid where he attended the high level course on Electronic Music Production at the SAE Institute. The combination of Gledd’s sounds, characterized by a refined selection of Funk Disco and House led him to early play in some of most respected clubs of the Spanish Capital, such as Taboo and Blackout. He played a Dj residence at PWP, one of the most highly regarded clubs in the city. He's currently living in Mexico City after a period in Tulum, where he played in several clubs and venues. He is the founder of the label Saint Wax.
He has shared the stage with names ranging from Jamie 3:26, Benji B, Rahaan, Frits Wentink, SHMLSS, Luca Cazal, Yam Who?, Ltj Xperience and many more. He's producing tracks for labels as Rose Records, Masterworks Music, Tropical Disco, Nomada Records, Whiskey Disco , Midnight Riot, About Disco, Super Spicy and Flaneur Recordings.
