During the 2016 presidential election, Trump was responsible for a constant amount of faux pas that never seemed to affect his base. One of these ridiculous moments included a leaked clip of him stating he likes to grab women by the pussy. Like many projects, current events stimulate work on music, which is then proceeded by visuals, taste, smell & texture.

Robert De Niro’s outburst about Donald Trump seeded this project. The general mood he set in this video is represented in the techno track. The shocking nature of the 2016 U.S. presidential election naturally made me gravitate towards imagining how a Donald Trump $1,000,000 bill would look like.

The music made by the Valaam monks is quite unique & interesting when compared to typical chants. After initially listening to a few, it became clear that the general vibe of the chants could be used to make some interesting music. Once the foundation for a track was made, current events was used as the fuel to finish this project. As the United States is focused on internally destroying itself, Chief Putin is adding gasoline to the fire. The name of the project is a play on the new world order that is shifting as well as on poutine.
