MÉTIER is the new label from Jack! Who? and his UK based deathtechno.com project that is set to journey into deep, dreamy, dub, techno, acid, electro and ambient that will surprise and delight from release to release.

Allowing artists to experiment with new ideas, it has already featured UBX127 of Len Faki's Figure as Shifted Minds, Alex Dolby of Developer's Modularz as AX15 and William Arist of Gary Beck's BEK Audio as Dusicyon for example.

AX15 aka Alex Dolby returns to MÉTIER, a veteran artist of the scene and highly prized producer known for releasing on Developer's Modularz, Emmanuel's ARTS, Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics, Teksupport and his own Affekt Recordings.

His educated sound is much loved around the world and Horizons is an album that allows Alex to step into different territory by having electro at its core combined with classic '90s, analogue vibes and deep soultronica.

“True Spirit” opens with harmonic drones and sci-fi ambience before climaxing with a punchy breakbeat. “Nearly Fifty” continues the theme, but with an acid hook and lo-fi style. “Moments” steps into a new realm of thundering electro making it a raw and mesmerising journey. “Model 28” has a modular heart with a classic and engaging sound. “Night Visions” is an angular exploration with shimmering highlights and a quirky groove. “Linear Dimension” takes it back to raw electro while presenting some emotional, arpeggiated chords. “Shades” has a heavy beat offset with haunting, dystopian vibes. Winding down to the title track, “Horizons” is another spacey and sparse cut with pulses and delayed drum rolls creating an atmospheric saga."

"re-LEAF’’ is a fundraising compilation commemorating over 50,000 lives lost and hundreds of thousands more injured and displaced following the disastrous earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria in February 2023.

Compiled by the Turkish electronic music artist Hüma Utku and Sine Büyüka of the London/Istanbul based label Injazero Records, co-released by the UK label Phantom Limb; ‘’re-LEAF’ features an eclectic roster of outstanding experimental electronic and ambient music artists, who dedicate a wide musical selection to this urgent cause.

All profits of this release will be donated to the Ahbap NGO in Turkiye, who currently lead a crucial, wide-range relief operation in an ethnically diverse area home to millions of immigrants and Syrian refugees.

KAOSMOS - Düş ( V/A re​-​LEAF (T​ü​rkiye and Syria Earthquake Relief)

Saqiya (Arabic: ساقِية, the Arabic name of a mechanical water lifting device) was a village in Palestine .
The village was situated on uneven terrain on the central coastal plain, 8.5 km east of Jaffa. A number of paved roads passing through or near the village afforded it easy access to Jaffa, Lydda, Tel Aviv, and adjacent villages as well.

According to Israeli sources, the village was attacked and captured on 25 April 1948; a Palestinian source and an Associated Press dispatch both state that it fell a couple of days later, on 27-28 April, along with al-Khayriyya and Kafr 'Ana. In either case, it was one of the villages targeted during Operation Chametz. The History of the Haganah states that Saqiya and neighboring villages were all taken “without a fight”. No mention is made of their residents.

The settlement of Or Yehuda was established in village lands in 1950 to settle Jews from Irak and North Africa. Ramat Pinqas was built in 1952 on land belonging to the neighboring village of al-Khayriyya.

No more than ten houses remain. Some are inhabited by Jewish families, one is used as a workshop for car repair, and others are deserted. One of the occupied houses has a large front door and a garret with a slanted roof extending along the short. A second hosue is quite long and has a large number of wondows of various sizes. A third is a two-storey house whose second floor is fronted by a facade decorated with wide lancet arches. In addition to the houses, there are truncated walls, the mud-brich foundation of a destroyed building, and other debris on the site. There are also cactuses and sycamore, cypress, Christ's-thorn, and palm trees. Part of the surrounding land is cultivated; the rest is covered by settlement buildings.

Meira Asher’s work challenges accepted conventions of practice and genre, even within the supposed open-minded circles of the Avantgarde. A composer, performer and Human Rights activist, she freely oscillates between, through and beyond the fields of Sound art and Radio art. In the past 20 years her artistic practice has been focusing on in-depth and long- term projects, and she has been working assiduously, amassing many different projects in different veins. She is the producer of the independent Radioart show radioart106 since 2014 and a former lecturer at Haifa university's Art School (2012-22). Her works were released on Crammed, Sub Rosa, Auditorium, Raash Records and Ultima Ratio labels, but mostly independent through her own platforms. Her recent works include TANSIKتنسيق for Radio Reina Sofia Madrid, a Hebrew version of Antonin Artaud’s radio essay Pour en finir avec le jugement de Dieu and Sonic Voyage of Resistance for Radio Art Zone.

For more than twenty years, Roel Funcken has been a cornerstone in electronic experimentation. Alongside his brother Don, this Dutch sound sculptor melted hip-hop, industrial and soundscapes under monikers like Funckarma and Shadow Huntaz. A prolific solo musician and collaborator as well, Funcken teams up with Cor Bolten to revive the Legiac project with the eight tracks of Banisteriopsis Caapi. Keys appear through a sorrowful haze in "Mimosa Hostilis", this machined mist difussing as distorted strings penetrate before a dawning of icy brightness. Modulated forms and shapes billow in the bubble and trill of "Pyschotria Viridis" before the orbiting interference and introspection of "Epicatechine." Percussion is reduced to a texture, the duo finding structure in droplets of water, the stretch of steel and a litany of field recordings. The partnership dive deep into their chosen sounds, elongating and expanding tones to find harmony in the absence and isol ation that is their focus. Pieces like "Solanaceae" bristle with an understated elegance, like starlight piercing a brooding night sky, while "Banisteriopsis Caapi" finds an eerie solace in its repurposing of voice as an undulating elegy. Legiac achieve a distant intimacy with their listener, a relationship forged through complex compositions, gentle movements and subtle shifts.
