Brazen - A person standing in their power, asking for what they need and want, not accepting less, showing up with their whole self, knowing they are worthy of extraordinary.

Feeling connected to this statement, describing what the Brazen Festival wants to showcase and evoke. While still on a learning journey when it comes to DJying, I took the definition of Brazen as an invitation to create a personality set, highlighting different aspects I identify with. I love a good bassline driven, dark and chunky downtempo tune, but also vibe with funky disco-flavoured cheekyness (or cheesiness?) as well as organic deep house and floaty atmospheric melodies. A sprinkle of oriental/balkan infusion included. I'm very happy with the track selection and hope you enjoy this set as much as I did when I played it to the lovely Brazen crowd.

It's been an honour to play in the upside down boat on the Te Arai @shipwreckednz Festival site. Thank you so much to @mamadafunk @amanda-wright-7 for giving me the chance to bring some downtempo delight to the new Boudoir stage at a stellar time! What a wonderful woman Mary Hush is, and what spectacular parties she throws! After holding space for a surprise midnight surprise at the main stage I gallavanted through the event to the Tairy Lush stage. There, I threw down a range of my oddest snekno and glitch hop resulting in mass confusion and I believe some elation.

This is a recording of that set. Neat. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing.

The Only Way Out is Through

Sometimes you have to feel the fear and do it anyway to connect with the things you love the most. This was one of those times. Thank you to Rosella Presents & Mammamanagment for having me at the annual Thrift Shop Ball and giving me the platform to express and explore. And to all the movers and groovers who shared this electric and flavourful moment, that energy is something I will cherish forever.
