The thoughts that came to mind where growing up with your brothers and sisters,

*In the quiet hum of melodies and memories, I find myself, Ms. King, a hesitant singer and songwriter, tiptoeing on the edge of a story that spans six generations. It all begins with my grandmother, Chrissy, a woman of quiet strength, whose life was touched by an American military service officer.

*On the 25th, I'll be venturing to Washington DC, a city steeped in history, to meet the family my mother should have known. The thought makes my heart flutter, for it's not just a meeting of strangers, but a dance with the shadows of a past.

*As I pen this, I can't help but think of the blues country song I've crafted in the stillness of my room, 'Call Her Blanche'.*

*Join me, walk softly with me through this delicate journey. We'll unravel the tapestry of moments.
