On the title track OM2B, Hommie gives you a glimpse into his soul and life. Lines like "they said I never had a shot like Rajon (Rondo), said I'd be Trayvon or I'd be Avon" illustrate his underdog status not only in music but in life. Wil also combines introspective bars with his signature witty bars when he says "No wet sign, so you'll never see me slippin', we been close this whole time so you'll never see me different". The intro OM2B looks to set the tone for the album, honesty, confidence, and struggle wrapped in clever bars.

On I'm The Man, Hommie shows versatility with his flow and combines it with witty street bars. This is evident with lines like "Went from section 8, to collecting 8s, from last place with the sad face, had to battle every day like MadFace, to gettin money like collection plates, God damn thats church nigga". On one of the more braggadocios tracks on the project he peppers in witty lines like "niggas need a publicist cause I don't know about you niggas, you block hop, you post-op, I don't fuck wit no new niggas" and "make everybody kiss arms, y'all Kaepernick when I touch down". I'm The Man, the title tells you everything you need to know.

I'M THE MAN

"what ya ice worth? take it off tell me what ya life worth" "make it, take it, gotta get rich though" the hook and the title "Make It Take It" leaves no mistake about what this track is about. This by any means attitude is exemplified by lines like "y'all niggas playing Grand theft, my nigga charged with grand theft, I got like half a grand left, cop and re, cop and re, till aint a gram left". The witty bars continue on this song when he says things like "better watch ya mouth when you niggas bloggin, pull the paper out you cookie niggas till i make a fortune". Those lines mixed with a southern bounce flow make Make It Take It one of the stand out track off of the mixtape.

On Dream Girl, Hommie gives you a glimpse of his lighter side. Speaking about two different women, he goes about verbally pursuing these ladies with a straight forward and funny style. With lines like "heard you signed to Breezy but i aint mad at ya, I beat it up too but when i aint mad at ya" Wil lets his feeling for R&B singer Syven Streeter be known in a humorous way. "Dick right here got you gasping for air baby, but this chick right here got me grasping for air lately", Dream Girl is Wil's attempt to let the women who keep escaping feel his presence

Single is easily the most fun track on the project. Hommie tells you about the numerous women in his life, and the drama that may come with that. Keeping it light Wil states "The kids know I ain't they daddy, I come when he at work I'm day daddy" and "She just wants to have a food fight, all she do is throw cake at me". Single may actually be the hit single (pun intended) from the project, but it also is a clear statement he's "single as a dolla"

On this gritty street track Hommie has many straight forward lines like "You better know who ya friends are, they'll stab you in the back with that gemstar, you work out you a gym star, I moved work out of that Windstar". You also are reintroduced to the introspective side of Hommie when he states "Need a couple answers, does heaven got a ghetto for the dealers and the dancers?, the US got a cure for AIDS, sugar, and the cancers?, they took out the (Black) Panthers, they tapping our cells, they take out the hand cuffs". If you are looking for the east coast street feel look no further than Most High.

Hommie delves the deepest on the track Straight Like That. Even in the darkest moments he still brings his sense of humor to the table, when speaking on his grandparents and his cousin he lost in a years time he says "I'm Magic Johnson, its years later, I look good, but I'm still sick". "I can't fuck wit these new niggas, I ain't fake like that, but I'm straight like this, homey straight like that" Wil gives you both sides of the coin, the sense that he doesn't always fit in, but he's ok with that, straight like that.

I Won, is fittingly the last track on the last track on the mixtape. On the uptempo track he sets out to set himself apart from his competition. "Do I think I'm destined, no question" Hommie lets it be known that he believes there is a difference between being talented and gifted and he is the latter. He takes small shot at some of his peers "You so original, you got the biggest fan base, you get ya tan straight off the boat, and you let ya can quake". Hommie has set out to distance himself from the stereotypical rapper image and on I Won he does just that.

The future of rap and hip hop. WillI.E. Hommie blends a flawless flow and impeccable timing with incredible content and insight. "I have seen the world through your eyes, but have you seen it through mine," says Hommie. He has lived all across the U.S. a military baby born in Oceanside, CA he has also spent time in Bloomington, IN, Boston, MA, and Voorhees, NJ. but he has never left the streets of South Philly. He has lived all over Philly from West Philly to Mount Erie, but the place he refers to as "The Heart of the City and South Philly Vietnam" has always been home. "I grew up in the Jungle (23rd and Pierce) but migrated to 24th and Moore and its been on since." He fell in love with hiphop/rap when he heard Tupac's album Makaveli. "It was unbelievable the pain and the passion delivered with every word it just excited me. When I was raised my mom taught me about Malcolm X and M.L.K., and of course it was on a different level but it was still a single voice that could move a million." He started rapping with the same crew he is with today. "Back then we weren't the Mafia yet, but you could see talent all within the group. Every one brought something different to the table." Like any rap crew or group of friends they had there ups and downs, but now more then every they seem poised to make there mark on Philly's growing hip hop scene. The group has released 2 well received mixtapes The Promise and Moore Street Mafia ~ Da- Block vol. 1, Mafia members Ricky Scarfo and the late John Streets released The Trap Game mixtape earlier this year which continues to grow in popularity. Always a leader and never short on monikers Willie Hommie aka The Heir Apparent has new name and team of his own. “ The South Phil Slugga and Triple Crown Records is my focus right now, I’m batting lead off and a group album is on deck with Triple Crown members J Gutta, Mal, and Kas.“ “ They are the future, when we (the Mafia) started rapping, rapping wasn’t the cool thing to do yet, so to hear them flow the way they do at the age they are is exciting.” With anticipation boiling over for his second and third mixtapes (both will be released within a month of each other) the pressure doesn’t seem to bother him but to intensify his focus. “ With the first mixtape it was more a fear of failure, but the love came, the respect was already there but the love, the love is what you do it for.” “ With this project it was more strategy, my underdog status is gone, the element of surprise, gone, there nerves are gone also though now its anticipation and excitement. “ With the wind at his back and the world at his feet, he has a new found confidence that falls short of cockiness, dare I say swagger. With July rapidly approaching he is confident prepared has prepared himself to make a hit, play ball!
