It is NOW, more than ever, VERY IMPORTANT for each and every one of us to take a stand for SOMETHING.... anything... should we desire to make the World a better place. There is no space or place left for silence or voluntarily blindness. Not only are we choosing to stand against something- we choose to STAND FOR something- which is more important.
Today we pay homage and respect to the youth of 1976 for standing FOR justice and representation in a society that was defined by the unjust principles of an unequal and brutal society- Apartheid. Today, we can still hear the calls and demands for justice, respect, fairness, and equality for our lives all over the world as we join hands- Black and White, young and old- against women abuse, subjugation and violence; against racial inequality and racist societal structures that leave us sidelined, miseducated, killed and pleading to matter; against corruption and global greed; and every other corner that the fingers of injustice has reached in our lifetime and the lifetimes of our predecessors.

TODAY we are reminded, yet again, why we choose to stand for something. Why we MOVE our movements; PROVE our movements; and CHOOSE our movements.
