Keanu Reeves celebrated his 60th birthday this week, and I have 3 promos from the label NEO - so the title sort of wrote itself. Sorry, it's not the real NEO in the pic - copyright and all that, but there's some really good tunes in this week's set - the NEO tunes, a pair of remix from the great Gai Barone, another unreleased track from my friend MSTE, and a Lana Del Ray cover by the great Hot Since 82.

Often, one of the hardest things to do as someone who has suffered childhood trauma is learning to love yourself. I believe in life long learning, but it's really a struggle to learn this at my age!

2024.09.28 Learning To Love

There is a notion that souls can become so large, they have to split and afterwards inhabit two bodies. The Tw2in flames as they are known can meet. A rather interesting idea, and if we see consciousness, and perhaps souls as quantum expressions, it does not seem that far fetched.

Another great collection of tracks this week, and keeping with the twin theme - there's back to back tracks from Stojhe - I could not decide which I like better, so I played them both! And the last track from MSTE's unsigned album fits in as well, the title track from Two of a Kind!

Musique de Lune rounds out the month of October by welcoming Luke Santos back to the label for a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything'. As a DJ for well over two decades, Argentina born, Netherlands based artist Luke Santos has delighted crowds across the world with his far-reaching sound. Long-standing events such as ADE, WMC, The Love Parade and more have been recurring locations for Luke's exquisite taste and impeccable programming skills; while GU Music, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden have been global music brands to request his talents. A near decade-long career as a producer indicates his selective nature, with Cid Inc's Replug Records, Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank and Global Underground being the primary landing spots for his stunning creations. 2022 would see Luke return from a five-year hiatus via Musique de Lune Noire with the well-received album project 'I Am Everything'. A release which not only holds the distinction of being Noire's inaugural release, but received praise from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, two years on from the release, Luke makes his debut on Musique de Lune's primary imprint with a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything', featuring Hernán Cattáneo & Marcelo Vasami, Kasper Koman & Alex O'Rion, Noraj Cue & Unders and Patrice Bäumel.

Le DJ et producteur français de musique électronique LOLOMAN multiplie les sorties sur des labels aussi prestigieux que COD3 QR, de Laurent Garnier et ScanX, [Brique Rouge] de David Duriez ou encore MB Elektronics de Marco Bailey. Et ce n’est pas fini, de nombreux projets et collaborations sont en cours.

House, Techno, Electro..., ses sets sont un voyage au sein d’un univers où le sens du dancefloor et du groove sont omniprésents, un fil d’Ariane nous guidant à travers découvertes musicales et culture techno underground. Animateur radio dès l’âge de 15 ans, LOLOMAN commence sa carrière de DJ en club en 1991 et se produit ensuite dans de nombreux évènements dans le sud de la France aux côtés de Derrick May ou encore Francesco Farfa.

Michiel Stehouwer was born in Leiden, The Netherlands in 1972. He moved to Amsterdam when he was twenty-three years old to lift his passion for electronic music to a higher level. In 1992 he founded an association with 11 friends, named Q-events that organized events and parties. Big names in the international DJ world were booked by this organization. Marshall Jefferson/ Loco Dice / Jamie Anderson/Nick Harris/Isis/Angelo/ Dimitri and many others.

Meanwhile, Michiel started studying at the school of audio engineering. He specialized in audio engineering as well as Electronic producing and graduated in 2005. 

His recent music is various genres of techhouse, progressive house, deep tech,deephouse, techno and house.  He brings these together through a fusion between heavy bases and flowing melodies. Starting from 1996 up until now he grew from a part-time home producer into a professional and fulltime musician. 
Growing up he dreamt of recording and releasing his music. It expresses his creative mind. “Music is art, and I hope that I can inspire others with my tracks”.

Michiel admires Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, DJ Dimitri,  Guy J and most of his label, Patriece Baumel, Sebastein leger, Solomun, , Tale of us and Laurent Garnier among many others. He experiences their style as a whole different, unique one that distinguishes itself in the genre. This style formed a great source of inspiration and he dreams of developing a style of his own that he will be known for.

He released music on various labels, mainly progressive house, techno & melodic house music with a certain mind flow and dance feel.

He has released on labels as Metrohm, Triangle records, Libertas, First Impression, Lups records, Just Movement, Lodjiya, Lamp, Lincor, Dog and Man, Kommunikation Records, Bonsai Boys, Connected Records Holland, Blanc Stone Digital,  and Tripout music.
