Standing on the boat, the sun was rising and she could feel the cold wind on her face. The ocean was peacefully moving, slowly in perfect harmony. Soon they would reach the island. With joyful anticipation, they could already see it. 

Weeks passed but the size of the island wouldn’t grow, it seemed that it didn’t matter what they did, they weren’t moving forward. Unnoticeably days were becoming shorter, the nights longer until everything was in complete darkness. Fights for the glowing stones and power started, and self-declared leaders established the wrong rules. 

Suddenly everything was trembling and shaking with a loud noise. The boat had run aground. Under the rocks they discovered the ruins of a past empire. After a while, the stones weren’t glowing anymore. Everybody started to lose the sense of time and memories of faces faded until they became nothing but voices in the dark. They sounded more and more distressed and less human, some disappeared into the ocean forever. 

She used to go back up to the boat, where in the cold darkness she would listen to the stories of the galaxy above. It was certainly a mistake that she was being trapped in a place, where she did not belong. 

But there is a sort of light, so small that it can only be seen in the deepest darkness. It wasn’t there at the boat or ruins, where everybody was looking for it. It was inside of all of them. 

When she realized the light was in herself, standing on the rocks, she tore her chest apart. The ray of light from her chest lifted her body, then crashed down into the waters and disappeared. Once again darkness engulfed everything. 

Soon little spots started to light up. All over the black ocean the hearts of the floating dead, people of the past millennium started to shine. 

The ocean dried up and on its soil trees sprouted out of the wizened bodies. The ruins of the past empire broke open and seeds from the future were falling from the blue sky. The rivers were filled with fish and on their shores, children were playing. And where once time seemed to have stopped, the present became one with the first dimension, which started with the hopeful excitement of new exotic expeditions.

With the anticipated unveiling of the inaugural release on his Vivrant imprint entitled the ’Taiga’ EP, Jeremy gives the public a sneak peek into his sonic treasure chest. Filled to the brim with a seemingly infinite number of unreleased gems, his music has at last found a place to call home.

Accompanied by a graphical profile and artwork created in collaboration with multi-award winning creative studio Rebels Studios, the EP conceptually resembles a mini-album. Made up of a total of four tracks with the first and last offerings, ‘Taiga’ and ‘Falls’, taking on the roles of proverbial set opener and closer. Played for the first time in Jeremy’s Group Therapy Radio guest mix, ‘Taiga’ is dark, thumping and hypnotic, while ‘Falls’, a new never before heard creation, is soft, dreamy and uplifting.

Second and third on the EP is ‘Pinkerton’ and ‘Roots’. While vastly different, they have a common denominator in being sophisticated, sure-fire peak time weapons. ‘Roots’ is energetic and soaring, while ‘Pinkerton’, made famous by the Olander and Prydz B2B BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix from earlier this year, has an infectious, trembling trademark Olander lead and a sawtooth bass-line your ancestors will feel.

In a time when the artform of curating an EP is on life support in favour of the more chart friendly single format, the ‘Taiga’ EP restores faith. Unlike anything you’re likely to hear from anyone else, it paints a positive picture of the future of innovative dance music.

Bade Records are back with a fresh new talent, Tom Place. Hailing from Essex, UK, Tom is a veteran producer who started out in the dubstep era and has honed his craft over the past decade. Bade are privileged to kickstart what is sure to be an exciting path with a varied 4 tracker EP from Tom.

First off is the EP title and title track, Corrupted Circuits. Teaming a pounding low end with a frenetic electro lead, this is one for dark basements and warehouses at peak hours.

Following up is Organic Motion, a deeper, stepping track that showcases Tom’s deep UK routes. A drum n’ bass inspired bass line, sharp percussion and vocals come together to form a deeper, well considered track.

Hard Ground follows. Taking no prisoners, this weapon combines a fast tempo, monstrous kick and electro inspired percussion to great effect, switching from a 4/4 to electro grove halfway through.

Rounding off the EP is Solid Lines, a more traditional and highly effective electro track that teams a bubbling synth line with vocals.

Mixmag Adria premieres Ryogo Yamamori's ''Winter''. A bit smoother on the drums, but in off-beat snares, Ryogo Yamamori's track is a subbed rhythm dominated by the main laser-like shot that constantly burns through everything in its path. This one also has the properties of the never ending process with a serious and dark effect on one's experience. With every new round of ripping through, sin wave is morphing into next state leaving little place for background layers, although those layers are certainly there. Subbed bassline never stops while the snares keep hiding until the final part when they perfectly come into the spotlight to walk out the outro.
