This mix is dedicated to the vibe of Sunday Afternoon.  Whether you’re kickin back and relaxin, out getting your adventure on, taking a Sunday cruise or just rejuvenating from a wild weekend - this is your soundtrack.  

The songs in this are some of my all-time favorites and it was really fun and challenging doing something a bit different.  There are no originals of mine in here and I didn’t play any trumpet as I’m no longer playing trumpet.  That being said I tried to bring something fresh and unique while still dropping in some throwback gems.  About 100+ hours went into putting this together, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This is a mix I recorded 3 years ago to promote an event at Wolf Sheep Arthouse. I never put it up on my Soundcloud but it was on Wolf Sheep's for a while. Since then I've had a lot of people ask me where they could find it or tell me it was one of their favorites. I've always loved this mix because i tried to put together something a little more eclectic and different from my usual style. If this year has taught me anything it's that there are no achievements without sacrifice. 

I made this over the span of 6 months, waiting for all the pieces to come together. Each mix is a story and this one is very important to me. Through the course of constructing this mix I had been through many ups and downs, heart break, death and love. This mix was straight based off of my emotion.  I hope this connects with you.

So much gratitude for the opportunity to bring in my first sunrise at the Grove. Big thanks to everyone that puts in their everything to make this place what it is. It blows my mind how many collaborations sprouted from this place - you people are magic. 

It took a minute for the nerves to settle for this set but we made it through. Thank you to everyone that made it out 🙏🏾🙏🏾 And it's ALWAYS all gravy if you didn't. That's why I release such recordings ;) 

This year ended up being one of my favourites for many reasons, the main one being that I've become more centred and balanced in my life. This set gets a little meditative so I hope this music helps you unwind and tap into your Self. 

Think more, Feel more, Be true, Be Human. 
This existence is magic!

I really wanted to incorporate my favorite non-electronic tunes which was a challenge but feels so fluid to hear them infused with some low key chilled out bangers. Mt. Doyle has been a staple DJ on the west coast for many years now. His styles range from drum and bass, funk, house, hip-hop, and bass music. He is not one to sit quietly, continually pushing his music at festivals and clubs all over the West coast. Show after show, his style and presence have been making a significant impact, moving him forward to what is sure to be a bright future.

Us Lost Boys found Mt. Doyle, through his mix series "Coma Dose," which, if you have not heard, we highly recommend taking a listen.

In the beginning Mt. Doyle was known for his smooth taste in Drum & Bass, and his unmatched love for pizza. But it wasn't long before Doyle expanded his horizons to include Funk, House, Hip-Hop and Bass, all with his soulful West Coast flavour. He quickly became a staple in the BC electronic music scene, known not only for his multi-genre sets but his range of recorded mixes as well.

Over the past 10 years Mt. Doyle has played lounges, clubs and festivals all over the North West, including Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Rifflandia, Electric Love, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Fozzy Fest, Bamboo Bass, Astral Harvest, Ska Fest, Sun Fest and The Tall Tree Festival. In that time he’s shared the stage with international heavyweights Aphrodite, Camo & Krooked, Ed Solo, A.Skillz, Stickybuds, The Funk Hunters, Chali 2na, JFB, Dub FX, Rusko, Technimatic, LSB & DRS, Serial Killaz, Dub Pistols, Ray Keith, Netsky and Andy C.

In 2016 Mt. Doyle started The Hydration Mix Series, a monthly Liquid Drum & Bass podcast with DJs Akela, Willisist, Erski, Reflektor, Lasu and DJ Surgeon. Later that year Doyle took on a whole new style as he joined the ranks of Victoria based Hip-Hop band Illvis Freshly, where he made his singing debut. Now, when he's not solo, you can catch his live set with Doyle on vocals and Philly on the guitar.

Over the years Mt. Doyle has established himself as one of the most versatile DJs on Vancouver Island. With a mountainous lust for music and style that keeps you guessing, Mt. Doyle will keep bodies moving any time, any place, with whatever the hell he wants.
