When it comes to visual art and music alike, sometimes I'll spend too much time sifting over the fine details. Sometimes that process will consume me for days, weeks, or months. This year I've been making a conscious effort to back off on getting myself into that headspace, and really allowing things to be more "imperfect", (perfection and imperfection are really weird concepts and mostly one in the same). That's not to say I'm not spending hours and hours on the art and music... more so, I am just allowing things to happen and being okay with it. Creating with intention, but allowing intuition to take the front seat, and intentionally embracing the raw nature of artistic "accidents" or products of flow states. I think it's been healthy, and I encourage you to share those things you've been holding onto. Set them free!
