Hyenah invited three of his favourite producers to bring their signature flavors to The Ritual EP. 

The A side, “You Made Me Who I Am”, gets two fantastically deep South African treatments. Up first is Enoo Napa, who grew up in Umlazi, one of Durban’s largest and most creative townships, which is also considered among the most musically inspired parts of South Africa. Enoo Napa leans heavily towards Afro Tech, and does so like no other. For good reason Black Coffee recently signed him to his Soulistic inprint and is featuring his music in sets all over the world. Enoo Napa turns Hyenah’s original track into a dark, ever-growing piece of energy. Stripped to its foundation, in trademark style Enoo Napa’s remix allows a powerful warmth to grow throughout. It's been quite a wait for new &ME material here on Keinemusik. But these two new cuts, adding to our catalogue number KM046, sure have been worth waiting for. The EP starts with The Rapture Pt.II and as the title already suggests, it coherently takes up where his last original material had left us, in a stirred state of sweet, harmony-kissed affection. Known as a virtuoso of sound-details, &ME lives up to that reputation, implementing fine synth-elements and temperately rattling percussions, all conjoined by shimmering layers and, of course, an ultimately heart-melting Piano improvisation that at some point will play along to the rhythm of its synthetic brother to a finale that will leave no crowd untouched.

"Solaris" on the flipside adds indeed a futuristic note to the arrangement, opening up with a broken beat and propelling claps. A cut that, as much as its predecessor, is relying on flow and organic shifts rather than forced and peaktime formatted gimmickry, adding a synth arpeggio, white noise, vocal chants and harmonies in a rather subtle way. Nevertheless, it unfolds a compelling strength to heat the dancefloor gradually through its playtime.

Carefully saved within biological circuits that are activated by networks of nerve cells humans gain access to their memory, and therewith to their past, to their knowledge, to colored images of close people, to their lives. Serbian producer Coeus actived his memory of a 'Forgotten Love' for the first release of shortly founded Parisian label Mimesis. The three tracker, consisting of the EP's name giving track 'Forgotten Love', 'Atlantis' and 'Gravity', depicts hidden feelings in space at a musical level. 'Forgotten Love' overwhelms its listeners with a dark fundamental tone that's not taking the track's lead but is certainly responsible for the undertone. The latter is worked out by the synth-chords that deliver a memorable melody that can easily be recalled as its saved within short time in the back of our heads, in our memory, so it is not forgotten but present.

Coeus' EP 'Forgotten Love' will be released February 19th, 2019 on Mimesis.

Unfolding its 394th saga, MoBlack Records alights in Gauteng catching on to up and coming
South African artist KingDonna as he envisages vast pastures through “The Cow Song” and
frolics in its aural space as he goes right along. Through a delicate interplay of tribal music
elements and subtle electronic maneuvering, the immersive 8:35 minute “Song” celebrates the
fine yet complex and often subjective line between exterior and within, resounding the subject
while manifesting the context and senses that shape its form. A careful build up zooms in and
out as indistinct vocals detract focus, leading to an emotionally provoking climax that breaks but
ultimately makes the track with redeeming piano chords. MBR394th’s length works to its favor
as its inquisitive and at times anxious start fulfills its arc in buoyant musing throughout the latter
half. Passed the 6 minute mark, KingDonna pursues a more optimistic approach, bestrewing
percussion into melody to make the daydream more tangible, and though “The Cow Song” may
seem to come to an abrupt and unwelcome end, it comes to remind that the sun only sets, to
rise again.

Neil Amarey appears from the depths of Mozambique speaking the body language of House to lay
out the grounds of the game. Yielding a firm grasp of traditional African rhythms and the acumen to
candidly integrate past within the present, Amarey comes aboard MoBlack Records with label
veteran and Afro House luminary, Enoo Napa, to spew the 399th set of weapons for the label’s vast
arsenal. Fetching basslines, prolific soundscapes and an Afro-infused groove thrive on the trifle
between tension and release in Amarey’s Original Mix of Lose the Game, but the seductive and
gratifying nature of victory, as in any play, lures and here, euphonic melodic chords and impulsive
electronic swells are bait. On B side, Enoo Napa revels in the aftermath of the game, infatuated with
its motions and vulnerable at play. Weaving raw Afro elements with a bit of techno noir, the South
African DJ/Producer renders his signature Afro electronic touch to drift reverberated vocals and
syncopated harmonies through layers of synthesized soundwaves to the track’s elegant finish. ‘Lose
the Game’ is only but a thought in this EP, both sides might tug but at a war with no defeat.

New year’s resolutions for Madorasindahouse;
Release amazing new music, support upcoming talent, keep the MIDH spirit alive.

To make this happen, we start our line of EP’s with the South African / New Yorker Dj Beekay, who sent us a 5-track EP a couple of months ago and blew us away. The content of the “Tears of Africa” EP has already been heard through Black Coffee’s Essential Mix, along with presence in various streams and live shows around the world.

“Far Away”, the opening tune, features the haunting vocals of Lyrik Shoxen, taking you on a mental trip to a beach in the ocean, dreaming of your loved one.

Next up, two tracks featuring Candy Man; Tears of Africa and Qamata (featuring Tabia), express the sound of afro house in 2021, melodic, percussive and emotive.

“Thandolwethu”, featuring Nontuthu, could easily be a poem dedicated to your lover, an erotic confession in Zulu.

Rounding things up, “N4 to Rusty”, is a groovy and melodic tune, made for the special club moments when you need the crowd to take a breath and just dance.

MBR421: Shredder SA - Back To My Roots

Breaking through from South Africa into the global Afro House arena, aspiring young talent
Shredder SA debuts on MoBlack Records with “Back To My Roots” complemented with a remix
by Dutch producer Chaleee. Finding inspiration no further, but deep into his patrimony, Timothy
Shithlangu marries rich African elements, tribal instrumentals and ethnic vocals with subtle
electronic edge. The original mix starts off with an alluring rhythm, ushered by harmonic native
chatter, pulling through with orbicular resonance, celestial strings and a certain euphoric
airiness. Shredder SA sheds unpretentious grace and we feel that instinctive oneness with his
own music, to the gut.
Carousing the mundane with warm claps and an inquisitive melody, Chaleee’s take on “Back To
My Roots’ teems with texture. projecting a vibrant palette, and oscillating buoyantly through its
moist build-up. Percussion savvy with synthetic mystique, this 8:08 minute remix is a mind
massage felt down to the roots, a session of profound sensory unwinding.

Dorian Craft, producer and dj from Southern France, began his music career over 12 years ago in his hometown Cannes. He moved to Paris in 2016 where he is currently based, focusing solely on underground music. Progressive, visionary and self taught, he honed his craft completely independently by experimenting, absorbing, and sharing his art with those around him.
Dorian’s music is a truly signature sound-craft, mixing ethnic sounds and melodic vibes with a subtle touch of Afro House. Combined in an eclectic soundscape with pumping vibes drawing from organic sounds, he often likes to start with groovy, low tempo beats and finish with more techy songs. 
His production style has been commended by some of the scene’s most respected artists, including Black Coffee, Chus & Ceballos, Sebastien Leger, Super Flu, Behrouz and Audiofly. His EP, ‘Cantâ EP’ reached beatport’s Top 20, whilst his ‘Avila EP’ signed on Radiant enjoyed the same success capturing the attention of some of the most influential people in the industry.
We are happy to premiere the Re.You remix of Dorian’s upcoming release ‘Stuck in my Head’ featuring vocals by Coco. This track is set to be released this week 2/17 on Madorasindahouse records.
