Part two of three of the Disquiet Junto collaboration project. This takes the C# electronic drone created by @alanblip and adds a drop-tuned guitar for a rhythm track. What will it sound like with a 3rd part, I wonder?

I just added a 808 kick and played bass. Most satisfying and less time consuming on the lot, but I don’t think it works, a 4th (soloist) part is needed IMHO.

The Assignment: Complete a trio begun by two other musicians.

Track notes: "Lucky Link Village" from Creatures_Once/@miraclemiles (via @SinnySounds) jumped out at me straight away and got me thinking about a guitar accompaniment along the lines of Ry Cooder, Haruomi Hosono and Makoto Kubota. I recorded a simple fingerpicked acoustic guitar pattern which found its way around G tonic of the tuned percussion. I then added some slide guitar around this and affected both guitars with some phasing and flanging to give it a dreamy feeling. Then a field recording of the ocean lapping at the shore seemed entirely fitting.

I downloaded this track: https://soundcloud.com/winterer/some-discriminative-finetuning-disquiet0637-23-second, with thanks to the original artists. I added a suitably adjusted and enhanced recording I made of men and machines at work.

Tuned Up - with Krakenkraft & Etherkraken and Soundoferror (disquiet0638)

I rolled 11 & 60, which gave me 6 pitches, and 4 durations totaling a 4/4 measure. This repeats rather quickly in only three measures. So the material was rather limited to work with.

So worked by elimination - pulling out notes from the line and distributing them around three instruments: Hocket, sometimes clear sometimes abstract.

It was pretty much done when the connection to games (D&D, dice) struck me, and had the inspiration to add the kids. Balarrrga!!!!
