Dear Mucha Community,

We are thrilled to present our first artist for the MUCHA Mixtape Project: RACHIMZANOV. 

RACHIMZANOV is a young and talented graphic designer hailing from Cologne, also known as a tattoo artist, home barista, plant enthusiast, and DJ all bundled into one remarkable individual. It's rare to encounter someone with such a diverse set of talents and a passion to challenging always oneself. Our paths first crossed through a former, non-existent collective, evolving from a chance encounter into a lasting friend- and partnership.

RACHIMZANOV was the pioneer who established himself in the early days of MUCHA. He played a pivotal role in shaping the design concept for MUCHA from the very beginning. His commitment, ingenuity, and precision have consistently molded and professionalized our aesthetics to this day.

In recent years, we've let him grace our stages, adding yet another layer to his already impressive skill set – under his birthname RACHIMZANOV. Initially starting DJing in 2017, he found the courage in recent times to curate multi-genre sets that showcase the diverse spectrum of his evolving sound: 
Skillfully weaving through a kaleidoscope of bass music genres, he seamlessly blends House, Breakbeat, Acid Techno, Halftime/Trap, and DnB into a realm where deep basslines, filthy drops, and bouncy rhythms converge.

We are immensely grateful for the serendipitous meeting in the past and unbelievably proud to now call him a resident, artist, and, most importantly, our friend today. Here's to many more years with you

RACHIMZANOV - MUCHA Mixtape Vol. 1

The second contribution to our MUCHA Multi-Genre Mixtape series is provided by Shacal. Even before many other amazing people discovered MUCHA, Shacal coincidentally joined our very first Rave in Cologne, sparking our interest from the beginning. Since that moment, we've eagerly followed Shacal's development as an artist and producer, just as he has observed our growth as a crew and event format.

Shacal's sets, characterized by driving percussions and hypnotic vocals, are truly unique and equally appreciated and beloved by the audience, especially with his residency at Devotion Cologne and participation in MUCHA Raves. As an artist and friend, we always experience him hyper-focused, with an incredible knowledge and experience in techno sounds and the art of DJing!

We thank Shacal for his dedication and for sharing his talent with us. He is always a warmly welcomed individual, both as an artist and a friend. Here's to the upcoming years and much more with you and all that is yet to come!

Greetings, MUCHA Family,

In this latest edition of our beloved MUCHA Mixtape series, we are excited to spotlight our artist Ü (@user-983328838).
Our journey with Ü began within the educational surroundings of the Audio Engineering studies, where his abilities and professionalism quickly set him apart. A DJ and producer of considerable repute with an affinity for Dubstep, Ü has graced our events, taking on both the challenging opening and closing sets – slots known among DJs as the ultimate tests of one’s ability to connect with and captivate an audience. And captivate he did, leaving us mesmerized with his abstract sounds paired with flowing breakbeats and brutal basses.

We are deeply thankful to have crossed paths with Ü, whose contributions have elevated our events and left an indelible mark on our hearts and ears. Most of the tracks in this Mixtape Series are self produced by Ü himself!

Dear MUCHA Family,

We're excited to present the fourth edition of our cherished MUCHA Mixtape series, this time featuring the exceptionally talented Aaro, a distinguished figure in the electronic music scene.

From Egypt to Germany, Aaro's path is one of dedication and profound passion for music. As a non-binary Egyptian DJ, music producer, and co-founder of @adhd_records, Aaro has been crafting their distinct space in the music world since 2011. Our first encounter with Aaro in 2022 left us captivated by their seamless mixing skills, elevating the energy of the dance floor with their dynamic and evolving mixes. Since then, Aaro has become a staple in our lineup, consistently thrilling the MUCHA crowd at our events.

Aaro's production work is a showcase of their artistic breadth. Their latest single, “Skinny Human,” merges breakbeats with eery and soothing vocals, creating a compelling track that leaves listeners craving more. This mixtape acts as a mirror to Aaro's current mood and creative explorations. 

We eagerly await the next opportunity to join together on the dance floor.

Get ready for the latest gem in our Mixtape series: Volume 5, this time featuring Cloe Zwei! After moving from Seoul to Cologne in 2019, Cloe quickly found her place in the vibrant Cologne party scene, discovering a new community. Her artist name, Cloe Zwei, reflects her personal transformation: not only discovering a new version of herself as a DJ but also embracing the queerness she had long kept hidden.

Cloe spun her first set for us a year ago and has since supported us with her warm and loving nature. Her music, a profound mix of various techno sub-genres from industrial to minimal, enriched with elements of trance, captivates everyone.

In this mixtape, Cloe presents tracks that not only invite you to dance but also tell a deeper story. Get ready to dive into Cloe's unique musical world, which is as complex as it is compelling.

We're incredibly grateful to have Cloe in our MUCHA family and look forward to seeing how she continues to share her unique musical perspective with us and the world.

9Stairs (they/them) was born in northwestern Iran and began a new chapter in Germany after studying in Turkey. In their early twenties, they dove into the world of musical events, collectives, and organizational work, helping to organize electronic music events in Istanbul. Their interests span polyamory, activism, queer culture, and anti-capitalist critique, all reflecting their dedication to inclusion and social justice. As one of our best friends, 9stairs has been a constant supporter, always there to help in the late hours when everyone else had gone. We’re grateful for their loyalty, kindness, and the countless good times we’ve shared.

jass.minute is a DJ and eventorganizer, with syrian-italian roots, currently based in Berlin. As a founding member of MUCHA in Cologne, she is dedicated to advocating for human rights, safer nightlife and promoting diversity-friendly practices in the event industry. Her move to Berlin revived her raving roots, while the participation in the Femme Bass Mafia mentorship program was a chance to hone her mixing skills Now, she's building up a new community space with the MUCHA Crew in Berlin, while also keeping the Cologne community thriving. 

Known for her dynamic DJ style, jass.minute blends some of her favorite bass-focused genres for this episode, including ghetto tech, UKG, dubstep, breaks, and Arab*-influenced bass music, with deep basslines and lively percussion, concluding this mixtape with a touch of jungle and DnB. Only killer, no filler.

Born in post-soviet Siberia and raised in Germany, this neuro-diverse artist has a deep-rooted passion for music that started at a young age. From experimenting with turntables at 13 to diving into a range of electronic music styles, his journey has been anything but linear. Initially inspired by hip-hop, z0.1e eventually found his groove in neurofunk drum & bass, captivating local scenes and audiences with his futuristic, eclectic sound.

For this mix, z0.1e takes us on a sonic journey through a variety of tempos, blending IDM, hip-hop, and, of course, his signature drum & bass/jungle beats. For Vol. 11 of the MUCHA Mixtape series, we’re bringing you a very special Drum and Bass mix from @tiaremonoi, one of our mainstay DJs, which is especially recorded for our MUCHA Mixtape edition!

Hailing from Cologne, tiare is a true bass head, effortlessly moving through Drum & Bass, Dubstep, UK Garage, Breaks, Jungle, and Footwork. Her sound is a perfect blend of driving, uplifting energy and dark, minimalistic depth – always anchored by her love for the deeper side of Bass Music.

We first met tiare in the Cologne Drum & Bass scene. After inviting her to play at one of our earliest raves, she quickly became part of the MUCHA family. Since then, she’s been a key presence at our events, delivering unforgettable sets that leave us buzzing every time. While we wait to have her back behind the decks, this mix will tide us over.

This selection is a compilation of tracks tiare has played at previous MUCHA events, showcasing her ability to balance fresh releases with timeless old-school gems.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had tiare with us since the very beginning, shaping the MUCHA journey with her energy and unique sound.
