While creating an original cumbia soundtrack for a boxing documentary, collaborating on new material, and working on his Remolido project with Lido Pimienta, el Remolón has been creating remixes for global dancefloors. This fall El Remolón digs back into Argentina's past to remix the legendary folklore star Mercedes Sosa's version of "Guitarra Dimelo Tú" , interpreting the original song by Atahualpa Yupanqui.

Argentine trio Las Kellies will be announcing an extensive European tour very soon and return with a brand new video which offers a sneak peek at their forthcoming album - due out on Fire Records on 22nd July. For this track they've gone all slowed down dub, with the sexy, nighttime vibe of Peaking Lights. Inspired by reggae and dance music as well as bands like The Slits and ESG, 80’s girl group Humpe Humpe have made a lasting impression prompting a lightness of touch on the keyboards on songs like "Golden Love", which you can hear via this awesome video, which debuted today on Noisey.
'Golden Love' is the first single to be taken from Las Kellies new album 'Total Exposure'.
 
The new album promises to be another wonderfully eclectic collection of tracks, drawing on their post-punk and punk roots, which were explored to full effect on their last record, Kellies, which received an 8/10 in the NME.  We can expect a more pronounced dub influence thanks partly to the involvement of Iván Diaz Mathé (Ivi Lee), one of the most influential reggae-dub producers in Buenos Aires - having worked with the likes of Lee "Scratch" Perry and Mad Professor. The album also features guest appearances from another reggae legend, Dennis Bovell (who mixed their last album) as well as The Make Up and Chain and The Gang frontman, Ian Svenonius.

Following on from his well received 'Reaction' release alongside Borderline on our 'Code Of Honour' Compilation, 20 year old Slovakian Mário Dočekal aka Subtension was set the task of completing his debut 12" single for Samurai Music. One of the most original sounding producers Samurai had heard for some time, it was not long before 'Black Haze' and 'Changes' appeared and were signed for the single.

Haunting ambience and potent carving riffs set on top of crunching, powerful drums and chest shaking bass have become his trademark, and these 2 tunes serve as a perfect CV for the Subtension style. 'Inner Man' came later, and after dominating dancefloors with it's gyrating rhythm was added as a digital exclusive to complete the package.

I had this idea of doing a spring/summer mix complete with a lazy L.A. daytime disco sunshine vibe, but the wheather surrounding me asks for a autumn mix! Well, maybe my mix will help this thing called summer to arrive in Europe.. This will be a very long "modern L.A. Evening Lazer-Synth-Disco"-mix, because as you can see this is only part 1 and the slow beginning for early evenings. The Late Night-mix will follow soon. If you glue the two parts together you will have a full night on the dancefloor of my dream, going from relaxed to clubby (not too clubby, don't worry..) Guess what part 2 is called...?
