The song is a very personal one about a breakup frontman Sam found very difficult to come to terms with. The pain he felt from the breakup really comes through in the lyrics of the song ‘the pain is all I have left from you, the memories I’ll hold right on to’

The track is predominately about being so alone after a breakup, not wanting to talk about it to anyone, not feeling okay, feeling trapped in your emotions and just wanting someone to come and give you a hug.

We want the track to raise awareness on men not talking. Men can cry, men can feel emotion, men can have broken hearts. 

We do not talk about our feelings and it kills us inside. The whole toxic masculinity, being a real man and not crying, feeling ashamed to feel emotion.

I want to offer people a platform where they can talk to me if they’re feeling lonely at any point.

Vocalist Sam’s quirky aesthetic has regularly drawn comparisons to David
Bowie and Harry Styles, whilst the overall sound of the band has been
likened to Circa Waves blended with The Wombats & Arctic Monkeys.

Muddy Elephant have been gaining serious momentum, all thanks to their
fans undying support, having played venues across the North West such as
The Cavern Club, Manchester Academy 3, The Deaf Institute as well as
selling out multiple headline shows including Chester’s Live Rooms.
Notable shows include supporting the likes of Busted, The Darkness,
Scouting For Girls, The Hunna, Reverend and the Makers and Jason Allan.

Their music has also been played across CO-OP stores nationwide, Capital
Radio, Radio X, BBC introducing, XS Manchester, ITV’s This Morning as well
as on match day at Anfield for Liverpool FC.
