Now, that journey hits a pivotal point. Bringing together core members of the labels journey over the past decade, the 100th release is a powerful statement of where the label stands in 2025 - forward-thinking, dancefloor-driven, and relentlessly tuned into the sound of now and tomorrow. A defining moment for the imprint, the release gathers the extended Solid Grooves family for a no-holds-barred package that captures the essence of the brands sound, ethos, and evolution. The ten-track compilation features fresh music from both co-founders, who each return to the label for the first time since 2023, alongside long-time Groovers Dennis Cruz, Bassel Darwish, Reelow and Ramin Rezaie - artists whove been integral since the earliest releases. It also champions and celebrates the key residents and the ever-emerging new wave of talent shaping the labels future, with standout contributions from KinAhau, Ben Sterling, Blackchild, and Silvie Loto. Dennis Ferrer steps up to transform a Girls of the Internet favourite on Classic, ‘Affirmations’ featuring Anelisa Lamola. With incoming shows at Defected’s new Pacha Ibiza residency, Mochakk’s Calling Festival and Dom Dolla’s residency at Hï Ibiza set for summer 2025, Dennis Ferrer continues to prove himself as one of the world’s premiere selectors. His status as a house innovator has been cemented through new ventures, including the launch of thriftshoppe with partner Olena Ferrer, and this highly anticipated label debut from an NYC legend heralds Classic’s 30th anniversary. Starting as a collaboration between Girls of the Internet’s Tom Kerridge and UK soul sensation Sophie Faith, ‘Affirmations’ was released in summer of 2023 prior to the collective’s full-length LP When I Was Lost, I Found Myself. Dennis Ferrer completely transforms ‘Affirmations’, taking Tom Kerridge’s emotive production and giving it undeniable synth bounce mixed with NYC grit, with Anelisa Lamola’s tender yet powerful vocals stretched and pulled to create rhythmic intricacies.
