Finally it’s out, Soul Sessions Extended 2019 - Afterparty with MUD Session and Lay-Far.

There is much we can say about this mix, but we will keep it short:

DJ sets split in two parts:

Part 1 with some warm up tracks by our resident DJs: DJ Niwin & DJ Ghar घर.
Part 2 we got our guest Lay-Far causing some heat on the dance floor.

MUD Session Oslo's first mix on our very own SoundCloud page.

We kick it off with a DJ set from SALT - 20..07.19, by our guest Daniel Gude, who needs no introduction. O.G in the Norwegian club scene and praised by the international underground scene for being a mighty fine selector. A fact which holds true for one, who's love for crate digging vinyl spans beyond ten thousand records.

Our very own resident DJ Ghar घर, kicking in B2B with Daniel on a couple of tracks in the mix.

Our second mix is up, and this is a special one for us.

In collaboration with Sommerøya 2019 and Oslo Camping, MUD Session residents DJ Ghar घर & DJ Niwin did a B2B set with Andreas Saag.

Some might recognize him with releases on record labels at heavyweights like Joey Negro's Z Records, Jimpster's Freerange Records, Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records, Atjazz's Atjazz Record Company and Stockholm's pride Local Talk Records.

This evening Andreas delivered a hybrid set with live keys on some tracks.

We had to pick out the best parts of the full mix, and ended up with two parts.

Our third mix is up. Had this one on wait for a while,
from our last SALT session in august by DJ Mélange:

A multicultural artist, Zineb Bensouda AkA Zee AkA DJ Mélange was born in Norway in a traditional Moroccan home in Oslo. 

With an artistic soul, she loves to express herself through music.
She's influenced by rhythms from all over the world, and have narrowed it down to her own signature sound. Finding her identity through music and art, Zee is inspired by the different but inseparable worlds, 
where cultures from all over the world meet and melt together, creating an interesting cultural base in Oslo, and rest of Europe.
     
Through her love for music she has been DJ-ing for 5 years. 

DJ Mélange plays high-quality HIP-HOP/RNB/AFRO/UK/HOUSE/FUNK,
and in the recent years she has excelled as one of Oslo's most exciting new DJ's within these genres and entertained Oslo's population with groovy tunes behind the mixing table.

She has also performed guest appearances in the Frankfurt ‘Geechie Vibes’, London ‘Kadie’s Club’, Johannesburg, South-Africa ‘Coco Club’, Paris Fashion Week afterparties in Le Hobo, La Mano and guest mix at Rinse France (RINSEFM).

MUD Session Oslo

05.10.19 - MUD Session - Oslo Camping - Lay-Far - DJ Set - Part 2

MUD stands for Movement Undefined and originally started as an open ‘House session’ for movers across different backgrounds. 

MUD Session concept was born in New York and created by the female House dance crew MAWU back in 2009, and later on brought to Norway, Oslo in 2015. Since then, MUD has been a common meeting ground where we share our spirit and love for House music, House dance and club culture.

The concept mainly has its roots in the house, funk, disco and boogie music genre, and aims to recreate the atmosphere that has existed in various clubs and underground scene in New York from the early 1980s.

With us we always have our resident DJs, DJ Ghar घर and DJ Niwin, who aim to take us on a musical journey.

Our monthly sessions have moved through different venues in Oslo: 

Dansens Hus, Sentralen and Melahuset.

And is currently running through the Oslo club circuit: 

Revolver, Blå, Jaeger, Oslo Camping, SALT art & music and Khartoum Contemporary Art Center.
